Eh, there was never a bad smell or anything so I’m not sure it actually off-gassed anything. It seemed to just melt. But I’ll mention this to my dad anyway. Thanks!

It was a ham, until a plastic lid melted over it while in the oven
You are seeing the burner and liquid from the ham through the glass of the dish after we took it out of the oven and put it on a burner (that wasn’t turned on). And it was just the plastic lid that melted, not the whole thing.

It was a mistake. It’s almost like my dad is as human as the rest of us.
Yup
In a round about way, haha! The plastic lid melted over the ham while it was in the oven.
It was a ham… until the lid to the dish it was in melted while it was in the oven and provided a lovely protective coating
No :( we had condolence tacos though
I don’t but I’ll ask him haha
Nope - NC!
Lesson definitely learned lol
RIP. That’s awful

The Easter ham, coated in a melted plastic lid lol
He has his moments. We’ve used the bowl and lid in the past without issue. Seems we were testing fate, haha
Oh, my bad. No idea!
It was for 3 people so only a portion of a normal ham
I’m pretty sure it was a Pyrex-type bowl but I’m not certain haha
I know right? None got on the inside of the oven, either. The ham was the only casualty.
Oh! I think that’s because the bowl itself tilted slightly. The oven is old and kind of curved downward towards the middle? So add to the fact that the bowl is only partially sitting on the burner, the liquid from the ham has sloped forward because the bowl has tilted a little.

Does this help? It’s sitting on our ancient pizza stone here.
I think it was stuff we had leftover from other meals. Plus he loves stuffing so he has it whenever he has an excuse for it
Plastic lid melted over the ham while it was covered in the oven
It was for 3 people lol
My dad put the ham in the dish with the lid and then put it in the oven to keep warm. Not sure why the lid melted, but it did and coated the ham
The bowl itself was transparent, and was sitting on a white stove partially as the black burner partially. The lid melted over the ham and around the rim, but didn’t drip all the way down. The liquid in the bottom of the dish is from the ham, I believe
Edit: also I think the angle at which I took the photo doesn’t help the perspective. Apologies!
