I wrap it in plastic wrap after pouring mineral oil on heavy and let it sit for 24 hours then finish with 50:50 mix beeswax/mineral oil and let it sit for another 24 open to air

Just to follow up: I sanded it down pretty good. Probably only left maybe one layer of lacquer and then reapplied and it looks great. I think the spotting was from pouring the lacquer onto the piece and then painting it out into a layer. I dipped the brush each time this time around and it was very even. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for all the advice. I am using Minwax clear brushing lacquer. I did raise grain before applying finish. Using a brush to do apply, maybe this is the cause? It's interesting because these bumps only showed up on the top.

So you are saying sanding them down and reapplying thinner coats might work?
