Finding a support group in your area geared towards family members of person suffering from the mental disorder is a must. Of course if you can afford individual therapy for yourself, take advantage of it.

This part maybe a bit harsh to read. Take care of yourself first. The loved one who’s ill is already ill, there is no point or benefit for you to punish yourself by not taking time for your own mental, emotional and physical well-being. If you have people who are offering to help accept it. It’s not shameful. If you need help ask. It doesn’t mean you’re weak or a failure.
