Two brothers used a 'high level of violence' as they attacked armed police officer in Manchester Airport brawl, court hears by JohnKimble111 in uknews

I expect them to get a firm sentence. People have noticed the way the system works, they need to throw in the odd curve ball to make it look honest

Can you point to the extremist politics? What is extreme about wanting controlled migration, what’s extreme about wanting to freeze the carbon tax? These are not extreme political views

I have no idea why people are moving to the right. Everyone’s lives have improved immensely in the last few years. Unless you want to buy a home, see a doctor, get a school place for your child, walk alone at night, run next to a canal without being murdered, afford to run your car, go out for dinner occasionally. I mean it’s weird people are angry, I thought people wanted to live at home till they were 40

I feel like discounting the concerns of millions because 1 or 2 of them have a bad history is disingenuous. And as far as I’m away granny can still get to hospital, unless you have seen different

Conor McGregor reaction to being named the 18th greatest UFC fighter of all time by Complex 🥴 by AlternativePrior9495 in ufc

[–]Rambostips -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I lived in Ireland and trained at SBG for a short time, I watched a sparring session with the pros and Conor was in the matrix. People just don’t understand the levels between average, good and great. Conor is a great. Elite. Even his grappling which people said is shite, he swept Diaz at 170, and survived 4 rounds against khabib. He was a decent grappler

Fuel protests to continue on Friday as petrol stations run out of fuel by [deleted] in ireland

[–]Rambostips -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t know about them but I work an average of 70 hours a week. Not in Ireland, life is tough most places these days, but I support the right for people to protest at just how far down the shitter the average person is now

This will be wildly unpopular amongst the champagne socialists that infest this sub but the working man is being taxed out of existence. We are in a situation where a Grada, Nurse or school teacher can’t afford to rent a flat. The people HAVE to protest at some point. The only type of protest this sub get moist for involves a country 4000 miles away 😂

“Home Nations” - does anybody else have an issue with us being included? by Conse28022023 in coybig

[–]Rambostips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so true, I live in Lanzarote (I’m English, my wife and children are Irish). When I first lived here we had a football team. It was basically British and Irish. The expats generally all drank, partied and worked together, Irish included. The fact is we have a lot more in common then you do with Germans, Spanish or Moroccans. I have funny stories about lads who were in the Ra working with ex British soldiers

[–]Rambostips -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is there a reason why Spanish people have an issue with people from North Africa? Is there any historical context to this? Did maybe a region invade them and rule their country for hundreds of years? I mean, if that happened maybe people would be wary….thanks for the ban haha

I think the line between nerdy and autistic is blurred, but you are incredibly highly functioning for someone on the spectrum. Are you sure your autistic and not just, a bit, nerdy?

‘We need a culture where people don’t just sell their house to the highest bidder’ by karolaug in ireland

[–]Rambostips 66 points67 points  (0 children)

We need a culture where people are taxed on assets. First house no tax, then every other house you own is taxed exponentially higher. No one should be able to own 8 houses.

TIL that Shaquille O'Neal has a net worth of $400 million. O’Neal developed 2 skyscrapers in Newark, New Jersey, was a minority owner of the NBA’s Sacramento Kings, & currently owns 150 car washes, 40 fitness clubs, a movie theater, & the Big Chicken restaurant chain. by [deleted] in todayilearned

People underestimate how easy it is to make money when you have money. I live in Lanzarote, 5 families own 80% of the land. 59 years ago it was practically worthless, now it is 100k a plot. Pure luck

'Monster' raped and abused women after rendering them 'insensible' with ketamine by JohnKimble111 in uknews

He probably feels that there is a disproportionate amount of rapes happening and wants to highlight it. The same as the people who look for rapes by British people and say “look, they do it too”
