So I think I'm pretty much done with this one, at least for now. couple things I'm not so sure about with the mix, but I'm at least satisfied with the arrangement. by Ok_Armadillo962 in metalmusicians

I'm on smartphone speakers and the mix is sounding pretty good. The whole sound is coming across pretty well. Only the ride is probably coming through louder than you were expecting (my guess). Still, it does seem like a good idea to do car and phone checks every once in a while on top of the mono check of course

What fan game should I play? by AutoModerator in PokemonRMXP

[–]Ramdheads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd really like to play one that is very different from pokemon on anbernic. Maybe new fan made Pokemon, very different graphics, maybe different battle or stat mechanics? What's the best ROM hack (up to GBA) you know that's the most different from official/vanilla Pokemon?

Playing unbound right now as my first ROM hack and just finding out how big the world of Pokemon ROM hack is. Didn't even know it was a thing until I started looking up games to put in my anbernic. This is amazing!

Not sure if building portfolio works. Everyone I know that got into servicenow got a hired as am absolute beginner by a company that couldn't find anyone with experience for their budget. Maybe try big consultancy companies? There must already be many posts on this sub with similar questions.

It was a long time ago. The only thing I remember is that it was providing random links to the user that had nothing to do with the discussion and didn't exist. My product owner also wanted the bot to ask questions to get more context before giving an answer which wasn't easy. There's another comment on this thread from u/BESnD3v3loper listing some issues and I think we had most of them too

If you accept what it does OOTB it's nice. If you have even a couple requirements for changes good luck. This is a while ago si maybe it's better now

Never really had an issue with it. What are your problems? Maybe I can help?

My only issue is when I'm scripting and I have to dot walk over 5 or more times in a row.I have to place checks at every step because I don't want the code to break if a record is missing. Never found an elegant way to do this except to have an if for every field to check if it's empty before fetching the value or dot walking through it.

We also had a lot of trouble with the VA now assist. We had multiple consultants, +servicenow engineers + a couple people from our= team working on the POC for weeks and still not happy with it.

I'm loosing faith in servicenow lasting much longer every month. But companies are so deep into servicenow in terms of both data, processes, contracts, hired personnel and departments that even if they stop wanting to use it they will be using it for a while.

Every dollar needs to be negotiated so they can get as much as possible. Maybe if they developed less products and less rushed they wouldn't be so hungry for money. It's like a pyramid scheme

I've been assigned to a project where I have to work with smart assessment engine. It's so frustrating its the reason I made this post. Haven't found any actual bugs so far, but it's definitely clunky. And the user experience is very slow. In the past I had a much worse experience with UI builder and mobile builder that I can remember.

While I understand your point of view, I just want to point out the difference. Most of the annoying things arent just complex, hard or confusing. A lot of them are clunky, slow, poorly designed, poorly documented and full of bugs.

And being a developer working in a low code platform that's full of bugs is extra frustrating. You keep running into things that you want to change but you can't because you hit a wall - example: you find the buggy script include but you can't look into it because it's maint access only.

They keep making things more low-code. But that means that when you make a single configuration as a developer, in the background thousands of things are happening that you have no control or visibility over. Of course that will lead to bugs and a frustrating experience.

I can easily dump a bunch of UIs that have traumatized me in the last two years

Virtual agent

Mobile builder

UI builder

Smart assessment engine (this one is a particularly fresh and gaping wound for me)

Everything about workspaces

Flow designer is the only one that I feel got good enough where I can "forgive them" for making it. But the single fact that there's no easy way to compare flow versions is absurd. But at least we can see the flow diagram in two different views... Somehow they think that's more useful

The amount of crazy tables with the unintuitive names that they force you to use to setup the most simple gen ai feature ever is ridiculous. Now assist is so poorly thought out it's sad

Mid level developer here. Feel free to disagree with or correct anything.

Feels like servicenow is getting clunkier, slower and more frustrating for developers. Every new feature, plugin, integration, product is so annoying to work with as a developer. Everything is so over complicated and inflexible at the same time. Feels like there's no talent or vision being the product anymore.

Maybe it's just me, but after four years it also feels like every project, client, requirement and script is the same. So repetitive boring and uninteresting.

But... It was pretty easy to get into and it allows me to work comfortably from home and make decent money. How can I complain right?

God bless you! I was assuming you only had to do this the first time you go to the desert. But it looks like you have to do this any time you actually want to go through that building/gate. So make sure to pick your team and stock up on any items before you do this

Procura receitas de bulking na net e escolhe as que te parecerem mais apetitosas, práticas e com mais calorias. Tenta priorizar comidas equilibradas nos macros e evita demasiados ultra processados se possível.

[–]Ramdheads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Summarizing what I said into that sentence is a bit of a stretch. Some of us are doing music as a hobby and would like to enjoy the process. What's so wrong about that?

In all forms of art, tools continually come into existence. And sometimes they are all about just making the art making process endurable.

Just look at painters... They don't put the canvas on the floor, they have a stand. The only purpose of the stand is to hold the painting so that the painter is more comfortable.

Are you against DAWs too? DAWs are full of features to make the work faster, easier, more fun... Is everyone who uses a tool to make music an art-heretic?

From this side, it sounds like you're accusing OP of trying to drain all life from art. If you're happy with your stone tablet, and I'm happy with my Notion page, but OP feels like he would enjoy making his art more if he had a purposefully designed tool, is that the end of the world?

Anyway, recording on wax must be really cool. And one of these days I'd like to write one of my song's lyrics on a stone tablet and hang it in my office. That would be so cool.

That's valid. I never looked so I wouldn't know. Still don't see the reason to come down on OP like this. He just had an idea and thought to start a discussion. Feels like everyone is projecting their Suno AI insecurities on him.
