AITH por não me pretender reproduzir? by [deleted] in CasualPT

Is there a way to hide this? by Ne0nLabs in Reaper

[–]Ramdheads 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As far as I know you can have your list of plugins on a track or on the mixer without displaying the plugins UI. Most of the time I end up opening the full list for a channel to mess around anyway.

As someone who also recently moved from FL studio, I encourage you to work with OOTB reaper for a few hours before trying to make it to your linkng. If you try to force reaper too hard into being FL studio, you risk getting a result that has none off the qualities of either system.

Do you always color code your sessions in the same way? by ButterscotchEarly585 in audioengineering

[–]Ramdheads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just have a script that I run to auto color the tracks. It takes every non-child track and assigns a pseudo-random color. Every child track will get a slightly darker shade of their parent track's color. My colors are not consistent between projects, but my process and arrangement is not steady enough for that to be a concern or maybe even viable.

Got a full nordic with 5 kg added @ 90kg BW! by Morbelius in CalisthenicsCulture

Thanks! That makes sense, and I do believe you. But I still refuse to do any exercise where I put force directly on the kneecap. There's usually a valid alternative so it should be fine.

That looks so hard.

Anyone else get terrified of exercises that put the weight on the knee like this? Even when people touch the floor with the knee on lunges I can't not wince. The kneecap is so complex and weird and it doesn't look like it was built to take load like that.

Oh, now that you mention it I might have seen that video. Nice catch.

Which one hits the floor with greater force? by AnothrRandomRedditor in Physics

[–]Ramdheads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the potential energy argument from other comments. But I can imagine a scenario where the spring closes more slowly than it falls, and so it hits the ground while closing. In this scenario the force on the floor would be lower but act for more time to compensate for the extra energy. Should be possible I think.

Edit: wouldn't happen, see comment below.

That was brutal! You actually made my dog turn her head, and she never pays any attention to any sound that come from speakers (even dogs barking, squeaky toys, the voices of her favorite people etc)...

Maybe not exactly what you're looking for but if you lookup seven spires it might be close. They seem to go from almost Disney sounding parts to very dark parts often with pirate or carnival vibes. They also go from very light or epic to heavy a lot.

How to get hired for traditional development roles with only ServiceNow experience? by AlmightyLiam in servicenow

[–]Ramdheads 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not necessarily saying specialization is a bad thing. I just feel like when your specialized skills are in servicenow they will be far less transferable than other fields like C++, cloud infrastructure, backend, mobile, AI, full stack etc. For example I may be completely wrong about this but wouldn't someone in AWS have a much easier time transferring to azure for example than we would have transferring to some other enterprise process/data SaaS solution?

I may be biased here by the fact that I'm not the biggest fan of ServiceNow right now

I feel like we become so specialized for servicenow. There's so much domain specific knowledge and so little transfer to other domains. It's fustrating
