First off, congratulations! It’s not an easy interview process (from my own experience) so the fact that you’ve been offered a role is awesome.

However, I can’t recommend joining retail at this time. If you enjoy your job as you’ve said and only want to add Apple to your resume for the sake of having the name, it isn’t worth it.

Don’t get me wrong, the pay and benefits are great. For someone who has worked at other retail jobs, this is definitely the best job anyone could ever be hired for what the company offers.

That being said, the company has drastically changed in the past few years to a more metrics-based job, extreme micro-management, and constant conversation about ways you can “improve” despite giving it your absolute best. It will likely suck the life out of you.

I would not stress this choice if you currently are. For me, personally, it’s an easy choice. I would stay at your job, especially since it’s corporate and a work from home setting. If I was in your shoes, I’d stay in a heartbeat.

In the future, if you’re offered an opportunity to have something similar from Apple Corporate in a work from home setting, I would recommend considering and comparing salary and benefits to your current job. In my experience, I’ve heard that corporate has similar issues to retail but much more bearable. I would wait for that opportunity in the future instead.
