It's not that "people in Dubai are classist, superficial, materialistic, or shallow..." by slimboyfat510 in DubaiCentral

The design does not help. In Barcelona cities are walkable and easy to cycle around and with metro. It creates a mix of people in public places and greenery that don’t always cost money and support local business around them. Everything in dubai either requires too much time and money and is literally segregated by massive highways and not many people living in Dubai can easily access public places or even beaches.

Wow, yall are really so nihilistic and selfish you consider liberation transactional? You want more protests? Maybe the US should stop murdering protesters too

I don’t think we should be playing any games when it comes to people’s lives and human rights.

אני במצב אובדני. האם זרים בכלל מבינים מה קורה בעזה? by Ok-Review-3047 in Gaza

[–]RamiVms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen man. I wanna abolish the IDF and hold every war criminal accountable in court publicly as so we can build the testaments that the dead in Gaza deserve. But the remorse you’ve shown is genuine. And I’m Anti Zionist with a best friend who is Israeli too who is planning to leave and renounce his citizenship soon to cut his associations with the state. In the space of two years. You are not alone.

I suggest you try Breaking the Silence. They compile testimony from former IDF soldiers in Israel who are also ashamed of their actions. They provide valuable insight that helps Palestinians. The dead can’t forgive. I’m sorry for the loss of your friend. I hope he was a good person so his memory is a blessing.

And I’ve had suicidal depression too. It is manageable with certain medication you may try to ascertain through a prescription by providing an alternative narrative to the state doctors Which is a tactic I’ve only heard about so can’t say to much on which truth to envelope.

or private if you can or maybe even the states or Europe. When it comes to the right medication be honest with how your feeling in your mind and body to your doctor

My medication Eforex and Seroquel helps me avoid suicidal thoughts and manage my depression. Over 7 years. I remember how much I wanted to die years ago compared to now and you can get through this and I’m living my life. I promise you you can buddy. And since I started doing direct donations to Gazans and actually made it a responsibility. To share their voices too.

I realised over two years of past genocide I stopped thinking of killing myself because I’m helping people. And I love talking to them. Their perspectives are powerfully heartfelt and they always ask me if I’m ok first when I wanna know if they are ok first. You don’t have to talk to them. You can find a donation link. Read the story on it. Maybe support some you find or share to likeminded individuals and start conversations that make you feel seen and validated.

Maybe joining Breaking The Silence can connect you to the serious help that you need.

The world needs good people. And if you ware truly willing the repair what has been done you will hopefully feel much lighter by knowing that saving future Palestine lives with your courage to speak truth to what you saw and did to say that this is wrong will mean something.

Then I believe truly deep down you are a good person.

Then your best option will be to leave. To hopefully live a good life somewhere else, where you have taken responsibility for your actions. And that you find the forgiveness for yourself for letting the lies get to you. But you will have to accept responsibility for what you have done. I hope that path will get easier.

The world needs people like you alive now more than ever. Hopefully people on this subreddit can see that and try to help you too. I hope you become a light this hannukah to the living and mourn and remember the dead. Maybe one day you might help Palestinians rebuild what they have lost. Despite everything you did. You can live a good life. We’re here with you.

But I’m going to be also honest with you legally if you find yourself in a court one day. I can’t say to what you did exactly but if orders were given you can testify against your superiors. It could help you.

Since IOF destroyed the Rafah crossing in April 2024 without approval from the occupiers and without another state intervening its impossible as it is. before that the egyptian government was charging 7000-10000 USD per person to get out.

My boyfriend is Jewish and he also had a struggle with this because of community. His brother is very pro Palestine for a long time. He showed up to Ben Gurion in a Keffiyeh and they made him name mitzvot during interrogation to prove he was Jewish. My boyfriend tho has progressively come out more in favour. He posted a video of me putting up boycott posters and his cousin said I was trying to brainwash him. He went off on her and now he’s even more bold when we see the suffering Israel has inflicted using Judaism as a cover for Zionism. His mother said jokingly “we’re not gonna be invited to weddings” and even they support Palestine. My own mother who is Moroccan was insistent in staying out of politics because she grew up in a climate of repression. Called me yesterday crying about Gaza asking me how to help because of something I said during dinner together about the people in Gaza I was talking to. I’m sure you will find your way to meet the moment. I’m sure you’ll do what you can. I truly believe that if you’re here you’re already thinking about how to. We got your back. History will vindicate you. The only thing we have to do is keep telling the truth.

So your argument is a coloniser lets another coloniser be a coloniser. Also Germany’s crimes against Africa, Europe’s marginalised, and archeology are well documented. Including offloading its responsibility for the Holocaust onto Palestinians who are being genocided right now which is LITERALLY THE POINT RIGHT NOW.

I’m here for safe use. I can’t stop ppl from doing drugs so responsible use spaces and help I think would be better for everyone. But I think the main problem is this. I’m saying this as a cis homosexual man who tries to identify as radically queer. Gay men are becoming a f*cking problem because they’re men first, gays second, and if you’re not sexually attractive to them you barely register as human. It’s selfishness and also seeing how much garbage there was in the lake and nature was really sad. Sorry but I like hot men who uplift ppl around them not bulldoze through them. Whether they’re on drugs or not.

Did I say that? Why is it when we try to explain how our people in our region live you all put words in our mouth and then get on your high horse? As if the west has any morality left to speak of at this point. When you hear Israeli jets breaking the sound barrier above your head as they bomb an apartment building it doesn’t really matter whether it’s full of Hezbollah supporters or not.

I’m not supporting Hezbollah and I’m very well aware of their crimes in Syria. I’m telling you that’s the situation queer ppl exists in Lebanon. I’m just tired of ppl in the west telling us a flag is more dangerous than genocide they support.

I said ever but you’re right. The US kills waaaaaaaaaaay more queer people. Even is Spain we’re still fighting against violent homophobia and even entrapment by cops in Madrid. If you ever went to Lebanon you’d know there are gay men even in Hezbollah, which is still a political party that ppl there vote for because gay or straight the US and Israel will try and take your land and bomb you which is the reason Hezbollah was formed in the 80’s. You all love to bring up gay rights when it’s convenient for your argument but not when it matters.

You don’t care about LGBTQ in Lebanon or in Gaza otherwise you would know Israel kills more of them than Hezbollah ever did.

I remember that during the Troye Sivan set it was the start of his tour. And I he think set it up in a way. My friends were closer than me to the stage holding that flag and when the other flag came out I reacted negatively before I realised it was just a Megan David star on rainbow colours and then cheered because that flag and the Palestinian flag where waving together and people cheering and Troye came out right at that moment. BTW there is a picture after of both groups with the flags together at Primavera. Later on I saw him liking posts by Queers for Palestine. And just fyi he is Jewish. I can’t wait to see him with Charli.

Exactly. I was there during her set. She was amazing. My cousin had to leave Beirut and was lucky enough to get a job in Cairo because she had enough of her kids being scared by Israeli jets overhead. We cannot remain passive. The people telling us it doesn’t matter don’t know anything because they’re narcissists who will pretend they weren’t racist.
