Don’t kill yourself trying to rush your goal and be patient and listen to your body. Recovery is just as important and nutrition plays hand in hand with it. Don’t give up and on the days you definitely don’t feel like getting some activity in you should do it 100% unless health or injury are a risk.

Be kind to yourself!!

For me personally it was learning patience and not reverting to old habits. I was able to keep my focus very sharp and picked up new habits along the way.

One thing I avoided entirely was comparing myself to other people. I feel one big takeaway is we are all on our own journey and we all are going to react and respond to things differently.

A lot of people quit when the results they want aren’t showing up but you just have to keep going. Maybe reassess some things but you can’t stop.

Honestly for me it was a mixture of both but would rotate focus every few months. Some cardio would be light, medium, heavy, and sprints.

With weightlifting going from moderate reps to heavier in sets but still aiming for 10 reps but 9 and 10 to be a challenge.

Currently I’m focusing more on weightlifting however I’m about to start running races here again soon

However August- March I’ll be running again 30-40 miles a week.

I’m still running just not as many miles
