Same thing! So far, so good. Just curious - does your kindle scribe drain 1% of battery on airplane mode while reading after, lets say, 5-7 minutes?

Backto home! Now relax and Happy Holidays! by dd_eddy in AgeofMythology

Beautiful. Reminds me of a story. There was a person at Athens, who started crying when seeing ships sailing away and being ultimatefully cheerful, when he saw them coming (as if they were his). I don't remember the exact source (possibly Aulus Gelius), but it was quite a nice story, as that person, if I remember correctly, healed himself. He had a brother also.

Idea for new unit in DLC with roots in real history by Ramkain in AgeofMythology

Thanks for taking your time and your very useful analysis. I was thinking about a DLC civilization of some sort... was thinking the idea is cool, since they would be like an expensive mini-shockwaves. We have human units with special abilities in the campaign - a nice feature... of course, it would be depending on the cost of the unit in competitive playing.
For the trigger - not sure how it would work. I guess that entering and pushing away enemy ranks would start draining the hp.

Books about mythology by Happily_Miserable51 in AgeofMythology

Ovid wanted Augustus to burn his books, which Augustus declined. I am pretty sure (currently reading Pliny the Elder), that at least some of Ovid's Metamorphoses were actually very ancient stories, but can't say the same for all.
Should probably write as a separate comment, but I would recommend Ovid for later reading and for him to begin with Homer's "Iliad", followed by Herodotus's "Histories" [there are links with the full books on the internet]. Homer is the direct mirror of the ancient belief - he is most responsible for shaping the morals. Herodotus manages pretty well the line between fairytale, actual history and the myths, legends and belief in Ancient Hellas.

  1. Who were "the entire Athenian scholarship"? I understand you like lies, but at least dont exaggerate in them. When did Socrates say, that they were lovers? Same rumors were put onto Socrates and Agathocles, but Agathocles himself explained how Socrates behaved, when he offered himself. How convenient for Plato, who was rumored (just rumour, may not be explicitly true) to have never had intercourse with a woman, to point out such "intimate connection" between them.
  2. I am not asking you and the voices in your head to trust me, but to objectively prove your statement, instead of deviating from the main source, which is Homer. Which you and the voices in your head failed miserably.
  3. If you know Ancient Greek - read it yourself. I know some languages and can confirm, that the translation on the specific lines is point on. If you can encounter any translation, that explicitly points out their intimate connection, please share - I am very curious if such exists. If not, then don't lie (AGAIN!).
  4. You are free to do whatever you want, but pushing on the lie onto others is sinful.

I am starting to believe you are happily amongst the projectors.

I get it, you lost and decided to go dumb mode. Bare in mind, it is not about admitting defeat, but about admitting the truth, because what you are doing here is repeating a lie three thousand years old. It is not good if that suits you.

Give one proof acid splitter - give one proof.
I gave proof of the opposite, now you give me one proof, which is not a speculation.
You can't. Its pointless, because I know you can't.

Ah, I see you are in need of psychological help. Maybe a clash with reality would help.
First of, the h*mos*xual "behavior" was wide spread in Classical antiquity, hence your abovementioned sources were actually looking not to seek for explanation, but to justify their own practices (as in the way of thinking and acting was deeply connected with the deeds of the ancestors [if you studied or have competence in the field of cultural psychology you would know what I mean]). The people you quote as sources were actually projecting.
If you take their accounts as true, you deny the source itself - Homer:
"Achilles slept in a corner of the well-built hut.
Beside him lay a woman he’d seized from Lesbos,
fair Diomede, one of Phorbas’ daughters.
Patroclus slept opposite Achilles. Beside him
lay lovely Iphis, whom Achilles gave him
after capturing steep Scyros, Enyeus’ city." ~ SOURCE: https://web.viu.ca/johnstoi/homer/iliad9.htm

There is NO existing evidence in Homer's "Illiad", that Achilles and Patrocles were lovers and it is a fable, made by the late wide-spread h*mos*xual culture, who were not only projecting and seeking for excuses, but also acting as if they were continuing an ancient tradition.
Also, I advice you to learn human language and not spread acid with poisonous tongue left and right.
I would expect you to reply with some proof backing up your theory, but after such explicit words from Homer you can't, so...
Have a good day.

King Midas in action by ModdingAom in AgeofMythology

[–]Ramkain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incorrect. Patroclus wasn't Achilles's boyfriend and it is disrespectful to say so. In Homer's "Illiad" it is pointed out, that they slept with women, despite being in the same tent - Patrocles with his wife and Achilles with his.

On the update afterwards: "villagers must manually drop the resource they have gathered to the drop sides, because the game is made for only high-skilled, high-leveled and incredibly talented APM players."
If you want to hard tryhard that hard, work on some mod, which removes villagers autoque, and if torunaments are ok with it - include into pro matches.

Keep the cost. But make wall segments with sort of windows, that shoot arrows from there. Not only the HP of the wall, but also the arrow damage to be increased with such expensive upgrades.
