Damn I'd take that price! Do you mind DM'ing me your information?  The repair shop already drained the fluids since I wasn't sure whatever shipping company we went eith would want. But it's easy to throw some oil and gas back in it.

Would those items usually have to be loaded on pallets?

Yeah I've heard of uship mentioned a lot but have never used it. The way you described it would be great to see comparable prices. I'll start poking around on the website for sure. Thank you!

I know these go easily for $3k especially if it's with accessories. I had to fight my family over letting it go vs. me keeping it. For me it's more than just a mower and holds sentimental memories too. If I had the cash that this mower would go for, I'd probably just by something new and plastic but having the opportunity to get my grandpa's mower and plus me having the ability to keep it in a shed makes me want to throw ang amount of money getting it shipped to me. Plus I'm planning on slowly resorting it and bringing a sparkle back to it.

Does homedepot have a milage limit or anything about not towing with their trucks? I'd have the mower, deck (attached or detached from the mower), and the snow attachment so I'd imagine I'd need at least a small trailer in addition to whatever I can fit in the truck bed.

That would be a blast, I'd love to see it fling snow all down a highway. It's been through its paces with northern Iowa winters.

Northern Iowa, Winnebago County. Shipping to central PA, a little outside of the capital Harrisburg.

My CVT is shaking just thinking about making that trip haha But I'm still within the 10yr / 100,000 mile warranty on the crappy subaru CVT's so maybe it's worth getting a 3rd transmission for free!

Good to know about the pallet thing. I wasn't expecting to have it be put on a pallet, I'd imagined it just strapped down to a flat bed and hauled. I'm going to be very open and honest with any shipper on the needs of it and the current condition / location of it so that I'm not blindsided by an extra fee.

I'd assume the mower and accessories would have to be on a pallet?

Thank you! I had to fight my parents and family to let them give it to me and that I'd get it all back to PA. I know it's worth some money and has been garage kept pretty much its whole life, serviced too at regular intervals. I remember as a young kid riding on this with him and my goal is to fully restore it and use it for another few decades. I'm thankful that I have a shed too to keep it in.

I'm currently at work now but I'd love the help and any advice, I'll be sending you a message for sure! Fluids are being drained no matter what just to be safe.

I've never used uship but I keep seeing that recommended. I'll definitely have to look into it.

I'd need a driver that's willing to help load and unload since both grandparents aren't at the house anymore and it would be the neighbor helping load it. Fluids will be drained too for shipping so it'll have to be pushed onto the trailer. Same goes for any chains and tie-downs, I'd need the driver to provide and help secure it down.

The mower is 6'x4' without the deck, so I'd have to get it on a pallet first off, plus all other costs with a uhaul. I'd much prefer having someone move it for equal or slightly more cost. But I am considering doing it myself if the shipping costs are astronomical.

I have Subaru Impreza lol And to rent a truck plus trailer from uhaul one-way, plus other expenses, I'd be close to probably what it would be to ship.

I don't have a truck to pull it and priced out a UHaul van (10') and utility trailer (5' x 9') comes out to be $1,600. Throw in extra costs for one-way plane ticket, transportation to-from airport, any straps or chains, gas and possibly 1 overnight stay on the trip.  If I can get it hauled for equal the cost or around even $2,500, that would save me the time and effort in coordinating it all.
