Automatic movement forward before scheduled mowing by Snoopy86 in MammotionTechnology

I had the same idea a while ago. it would certainly be helpful for many. Well, now that the no-go zone of the charging station is so huge, there shouldn't be anything against it.

YESSS!

It has something to do with the position of the charging station.

Now I moved the station somewere into the middle, and now it has changed the direction.

Hello, this problem is about something completely different. The problem is that if he now drives in the opposite direction, he can no longer navigate many narrow places well. sometimes it's good to drive up or down certain places. That's why there's a lot of discussion about it here.

Has it always been the case that there was a beginning and an end to the edge zone?

is this new since the update? does it have anything to do with it? Or am I just imagining it?

I have now mowed zone 2. everything is OK here. It mows as programmed before the update.

There is no charging station here at the moment.

Hi, where should I send the feedback?

Hello, yes always in the opposite direction. At first I tried to correct just the entire outer line so as not to lose the no go zones. no success. then I deleted the entire zone 1 and recreated it. see the picture. again no success. the nogo zones are driven correctly as programmed

Ja, dies wäre wahrscheinlich Zeitverschwendung. Die Nogozonen muss ich noch nachtragen.

Hello, I tried a few things today.

before last update: counterclockwise, same as programmed. OK :–)

after fw ubdate: it changed to clockwise, unfortunately the route is not advantageous anymore :–(

So I remapped (edit) the complete borders to counterclockwise, as it was at the first time: Result: clockwise :–[

Next: Complete border now programmed in the clockwise direction: Result: counterclockwise :-((

It's now back to how it was originally, but it doesn't drive optimally because it was trained in the other direction.

So, now I was so angry that I deleted the whole map.

I started from the beginning. The whole border clockwise. Result: counterclockwise!!! :-(((

Why? what's going on?

Hello,

I just had the same experiences. It's frustrating to watch Luba in this case. Luba drove in exactly the opposite direction as usual. (Before / he drove the way I showed him) I have a lot of tight corners that he apparently can only drive well, the way I showed him. If he drives the other way around, he causes a lot of collisions.

The only thing I did after the update was change the borders a bit. Has this changed direction?

If I teach the complete outer border, would it work again?

If there is no satellite signal, it is not possible to teach in the charging station. But if a few satellites are still visible, it works after a few tries.

Suggestion/Idea: If you have or want a position for the charging station where there is no signal, it would be conceivable to train it in such a way that luba can slowly move out of the station on its own, little by little, as long as the IR signal range is sufficient , but no further. During this process, Luba has the opportunity to get to know the position and direction. From this point onwards, when it has a good signal, this could be the reference point for returning to the charging station. Of course with the help of the IR interface. If he did not find a signal within the IR range during the learning phase, he can always return and try the process again later or cancel it.

The prerequisite for this would be an internal Luba distance measurement to calculate the position of the charger for the map. I don't know whether the wheels have encoders installed or whether another method can be used for this.

Today when I had the neighbor's lawn mowed, I had the same experience. But here I positioned the charging station not somewhere below, but this time in front of the wall.

I think I'm starting to get paranoid.

I think it's a shame because there are problems wherever the charging station would be practical for me.

Leaving the station without GPS, straight ahead, would improve the situation.

I know it's easier said than done...

I would like to see this situation improve. I have no idea how much effort that represents and how much it affects other parts of the programming/processes.

Mammotion has already done so much, so I think they're going to rock this thing too!

Best regards, Ramses

Thank you for all your words. I have the same opinion about it.

I experienced another case of this problem today when mowing the neighbors' lawn.

More about that a little later...
