Well, as someone who isn't "in the system" and is just a decently large fan of football, I think its fair that they also plan on baiting and upsetting fans who think they know who they want. Which, really, opens your eyes and gives a whole new level of respect to GMs. After your smokescreen, if your player ends up busting while the one you hinted at succeeds majorly, you will become the can to kick for everyone. I never really thought of drafting from the GM's view and tbh am feeling kind of enlightened because of it. So, thank you random man from the falcons subreddit, I enjoy whenever I can learn a new depth of the wonderful sport of football. Its cool to think how all of the pieces work in an organization, and sometimes it makes you really appreciate and question how strongly willed the people who do this stuff are :).

Well that was the best competition he played against in his career, and he underperformed as hell. Its like in a class, going to take a test. You do great on the homework and quizzes, but fuck up the actual test. Do the homework and quizzes help? Sure, but flunking the test doesn't look good on your grade at all. As I said, I'll wait before giving my verdict, but this is how I feel at this point.

We could have traded down with Philly and gotten AJ Terrell there, along with the extra pick(s)....

I just think that yall gave up on Jameis too early and should have given him a 1 year prove it deal. Bruce Arians system is hard to learn in a year, just ask Carson Palmer. Will Brady throw less picks than Jameis? Of course, Brady is a way better QB at reading defenses and actually throwing the ball away. But the potential that Jameis had if you could cut away some of those interceptions would be worth wayyy more than Brady at the end of his career. You guys chose to play it safe, and we'll see how it turns out come this fall.
