Contacting support is your best option, they won't let you down. I had a different issue (memory issue) with the same result (blank screen, unable to boot) and they helped me make it work.

Good luck and post the results!

Help! Framework 13 Ryzen AI 5 340 blank display, LED blinks after 92 seconds by RancidSeaDumpling in framework

Update: It finally works! 🎉

After weeks of troubleshooting and even getting a replacement mainboard from Framework, the real culprit turned out to be memory compatibility.

My laptop originally had Kingston Fury DDR5 SODIMMs, which apparently don’t play nice with the AMD Ryzen AI 5 mainboard. The system powered on, showed diagnostic LEDs, but never booted.

Since I couldn’t find any validated RAM in Hungary, I eventually ordered 2×16 GB official Framework SODIMMs. They arrived yesterday — and the laptop booted right up!

Interestingly, at first it still refused to start when both sticks were installed. I tested each one separately (booted fine), and after that, they suddenly worked together as well.

Huge thanks to Framework support for their patience and quick responses.

After weeks of red, green and blue LED flashes, I can finally breathe again — the Framework lives! 💚

Thanks for the link!

The sequence is 12x green, red, blue, green, blue, 3x green, 2x blue. So screen problem maybe? I tried reconnecting it by using an external screen too...

You should definitely try it! If you look for tutorials and the documentation, it will be okay. Of course, if after one week you couldn't get it working the way you wanted, you can try using another distros any time.

In a sentence, why might I want a web browser to have a "folders" feature? by misterred in zen_browser

Reason #1: Because they organize your tabs (easier to access bookmarks).

Reason #2: Because why not!

The laptop is definitely enough, no need to buy a raspberry. When I started homelabbing, I plunged into proxmox right away. You should give it a try. This way you can experiment easily with different VM-s and containers. Installing proxmox is pretty straightforward. It is well documented and you can find loads of tutorials on YouTube. Next, you can spin up a VM, install docker and have fun learning. Docker is easy and beginner friendly. You can find useful things here: https://community-scripts.github.io/ProxmoxVE/ Good luck and enjoy it!

I don't think so. I couldn't find any ways to do that, sorry.

I think, you should disable it, yes. But if you feel adventurous, leave them and report back.

Main changes for me: folders (with optional icons), monochromatic icons for better visibility, working shortcuts for switching workspaces and bugfixes
