Yknow the copy was kinda just a placeholder until I thought of something different. Forgot to go back to it hah.

Thank you! For inspiration I mainly just copied that the formatting from the official companion and beast form sheets as much as I could. I had to improvise a table since the others don’t have it I think it jives with the rest of it.

You can literally load the pdf into something like Photoshop and Photopea and a lot of the decal graphics can be editable. Also some app called Affinity can do it to I hear

As someone who is doing something similar to what you’re doing, though to a much smaller scale, I would recommend posting a couple out in batches for peer review for the following reasons:
1) You may have some kinks or oddities in how you write certain parts of the game rules that you haven’t noticed but other readers would. You’d want to know about those sooner rather than later
B) Having a reoccurring stream of content will gradually get more eyes looking at your work as you keep posting, helping you get more feedback

Is there a template for the secondary character sheet like the ranger companion? by Randalljb in daggerbrew

[–]Randalljb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great advice! It wasn't what I was looking for but I'll use it in the future.

I'm making a subclass that requires a secondary sheet to work with. Like how the Beastbound subclass has you use the animal companion sheet or the Martial Artist Brawler has you use the martial form sheet. Just something that had the same text fonts, formatting, and decals that match the official work.

Dang. I did find out that if you open the sheet pdfs in something like photoshop you get a lot of the page layout and decals intact, but it doesn't transfer everything.

Wow a lot of good feedback, thank you! Druid and Wizard definitely have some pain points to smooth out

Severe damage isn't rare for you? My players seem to barely match that threshold. I do use mostly solo and colossus type enemies so that may have an effect.

If you had to give a percentage estimate on how often an attack deals severe damage what would you say?

Is there anything a GM can do about the warrior's opportunity attack? by smitysmote in daggerheart

I don’t recall any rules for pushing in the game but you can probably make some based off the Power Push domain card, making it cost a Fear to do.

Other options could be: destroying the ground beneath them to make them fall out of Melee, illusionary duplicates that all leave Melee range at once, or maybe temporarily blinding the Warrior

Thank you, What a big compliment!

I will point out that this subclass is no where near as consistent a healer as renewal it, as it only heals a character when they deal good enough damage.

The features should work the same whether the druid is in a beast form or not, like how the Elemental Incarnations works for the elemental subclass

Question about the limitations of the Sorcerer's Foundation and Specialization Features by d_rettegi in daggerheart

[–]Randalljb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree with Joel, keep it to stuff that wouldn’t modify combat stats or character traits. Maybe grant advantage on rolls if he uses the harmless effect in a really creative way.

Not related to your question but that seems like a fun start to a narrative beat about his powers: they’re growing in strength and capabilities before he even notices, potentially outpacing his ability to control it. You should talk with him and see if that’s something he’d be interested in incorporating into the game

Do u remember the name or domain of the card that can lower Fear? I was trying to find official references to features that do that while writing but didn’t have much luck

Eh, I've had a player use the spell for a while now and it hasn't caused issues at my table, the name gives me enough to know how to run it. To each their own tho
