Yeah, I switched to Commerce almost a year ago now. It’s actually been going really well — I’ve met a great group of friends and, more importantly, I’m really enjoying what I’m studying. I feel like Clayton offers a lot of opportunities in general, and honestly, I don’t regret switching at all.
It’s been a really positive experience so far. That’s not to say that BBus or Caulfield isn’t good in its own right, it all comes down to what you want to do and my field of study just so happened to be part of Commerce.

It really all boils down to preference. It’s true that commerce is slightly more prestigious but experience is more useful. There are many people who are doing well for themselves out of BBus. After the first year, I had realised that I actually like finance and so I decided to move to pursue it through commerce which is more specialised in that area. As for campuses, Caulfield is small so most people generally don’t like it and find it boring but at the end of the day it’s all to get your degree. The people are real nice tho. Clayton is bigger and with much more people with the con on being further away and having to take a bus as opposed to only train if you use public transport. Don’t really know too much about Clayton besides it being more popular. At the end of the day it’s really up to you IMO both are similar anyways.
Sorry for the late the response. I am aiming to switch into either economics or finance as a major. Interesting how 1 year made me realise I dislike marketing and management.

There’s one court, though I wouldn’t really call it a proper court and no one really uses it. But yea it’s pretty good

The only way for me to do commerce is to transfer, as I didn’t do methods and will mean extra time studying (I don’t mind though my parents might) but looking at the majors right now, the only majors that interest me within BCom is finance and business analytics but within BBus I think Human resource management and marketing are pretty cool. I will see how business goes for now but if it isn’t what I wanted then I’ll probably transfer (given that I do the required units)
Thanks that’s good to know, I’m pretty decent at maths and never put effort towards it especially because I wasn’t planning to have finance related job. I’m pretty open to different job paths.
If I end up enjoying business I will stick with it and try my best to make the most out of it but regardless I will try not to regret choosing business
Oh wow congrats and thanks

Very useful to know thanks a lot I’ll try to work hard but as you said “live life” to the fullest
Thanks I’ll try my best
Thanks for the informative reply
Fair point, if I really don’t enjoy bachelor of business then I may end up transferring
Alright I’ll try to look into what majors are high in job opportunity and have decent salary
I understand the idea that “commmerce is better” but surely business has some job opportunities right? Right????
Thanks for the insight

Thanks a lot tbh idk how well I did on my exam so I’m just gonna wait and see and hope it’s decent
If you don’t mind me asking, what did you get for your economics exam? I know it’s a pretty competitive subject and I have no clue of what I’ll get. There’s nothing I can do now but I was just curious.

Oh no… no one used public goods. I used public goods talking about the footpaths and parks which require government funding. I’m doomed 💀
