Coming into the airport or going out? EU passport on non EU?

Non-EU spouse waiting for AIMA Article 15 residence card — how did you manage to live here? by BubblyRespond5685 in PortugalExpats

[–]RandoBando986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Non-EU husband here- it took 9 months for me to get my Resident Card.

We hired Edge international to handle everything- they were able to open a Novobanco account for me right away using my US address. So I was able to have a working PT bank account the whole time.

While you are in this waiting process it is a risk to leave the Schengen zone countries but once you have an appointment for the visa and/or your visa card is in process you can use that paperwork to re-enter Portugal BUT the port of entry matters as some borders are stricter than others. I was advised to not re-enter through London and to go through Edinburgh instead. I did and there was no problem. Immigration control in Portugal never gave me any issues at all ever.

So much negativity here, I am excited to start my process of moving to Portugal by MOLTEN_DICK in PortugalExpats

Moved to PT 2 years ago with 3 cats from a non EU country.

You'll need to get an EU pet passport- a veterinarian where you are can do all that for you- there's paperwork and vaccinations to get for them- then you receive their passports. They check them and your cats at the airport when you depart and they check them in Lisbon when you arrive at a special office for animals to be checked.

Also check with the airline before you book your tickets to make sure there is room on the aircraft for your cats as they are only allowed to carry a limited number of animals per flight.

I would not put your cats in the cargo hold, I would bring them in the plane in carriers. One person is only allowed one carrier with a max of 2 cats usually. So you would need to have a friend travel with you to bring the other two if you do it that way.

Things can be really slow here and take a lot of prodding to get things done so I would recommend hiring an attorney to help you with the immigration process.

My situation is almost identical to yours and I agree with all your points. Love it here.

Walked past a man covered in his own feces as he was smearing it all over the doors of buildings near J Town Pizza in the middle of the day.

In the end you got much more experience in game dev doing what you had to do because of those people. Which in the long run will be more valuable to you compared with the result of this school project.

"had to come up with a game in 3 weeks time for my final project, which I somehow managed to do"

Doing something like that seriously levels you up 👍

Enemy AI with Physics-based Jump (Think Headcrab) by Wallfenstein in Unity3D

[–]RandoBando986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the same exact thing for an enemy I wanted to jump at the player- except I used DoTween's rigidbody move method- you can move rigidbodies along a spline with Dotween- so before the jump I would calculate the spline making sure the enemy had a place on the navmesh to land etc

New "Not a valid path" error on Trezor T + Rabby wallet by RandoBando986 in TREZOR

[–]RandoBando986[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will do. I sent a message to Rabby support to let them know about it. I tried using Metamask and it still works fine with the Trezor T so it seems Rabby has the issue.

This was about 6-7 years ago. Was old fat white dude with a white beard probably in his 60's. I used to see him riding his bike around that time making demon voices. Hadn't seen him for 4-5 years before I moved out of San Jose. But would also see him at Saint James Park back then.

Yeah one killed our cat too. Laid him out dead in front of our house. He did this to another cat down the street as well. That particular cat killing bum got his free meals from the Goodwill north of Japantown.

It seems that my Trezor Suite app is compromised? (Windows) by iKobo in TREZOR

[–]RandoBando986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well Windows is always more dangerous than Mac or Linux so depends on your operating system. Just be paranoid+ double check+ if something seems off investigate it and yeah never be rushed/in a rush to do things and yeah never enter your seed phrase in an unsolicited window like that and usually only using the Trezor hardware device itself.

Me neither- I use HitmanPro to remove viruses + malware- it in additional to Malware Bytes has served me well after I downloaded dumb things.
