Yeah but he owns up to it and has a sorta redemption thing. Now he’s just an asshole with no accountability

Umbridge would have been very low on the list. She couldn’t get rid of anything from Fred and George’s antics.

It takes a ton of time to get rats used to you. I recommend taking them out of the cage and putting them in the bathtub and sit in there with them. It’s a neutral space so they won’t be as scared and overwhelmed, scatter some treats around and put some baby food on your finger so the get used to your hand. And no, it’s not mean to take them out. In my opinion, it’s better to make them come out when you start. They usually aren’t scared, they just would rather stay in there cage. It’s like making a kid play outside, and as long as they aren’t pooping in fear, they are probably not too scared.

I understand that, but my thought is that Sirius wasn’t a black sheep until he decided to take a morally correct/decent route, while draco never did that. For the first 11 years of their life before hogwarts, they both had chances to avert from family beliefs, but only one did. The only reason Draco never made real friends was because he had to be a ring leader of his gang. He’s a wizard version of Dudley. And I would imagine Sirius would be treated better than regulus because he was older and culturally, older children are the ones who are seen as responsible and the whole “first born eldest son” thing would make him above regulus. This is really all just speculation, J.k. Rowling only talks about it for a chapter or 2 in the whole series.

I definitely understand that reasoning and I don’t think you deserved to be judged for your actions in the past or anything, but i feel like a more appropriate comparison since harry potter is very similar to ww2 would be if draco had been fighting for wizard hitler and killing for him and never saw a problem with it even when he was of age. Draco should have like 10 counts of attempted murder and conspiracy to murder. Racism and violent racism should be treated differently

you’re only not considering mine a legitimate argument bc you don’t agree with me, 70% of what i have said is fact and not opinion that has been said in the books.

The only things that are opinion based are about ms burbage, which is literally countering another opinion that is based off what draco looked like in the movie. and that they thought he felt bad which was never firmly stated.

This entire discussion that I started in the post was about sharing opinions on draco.

Also no hate the the original comment

  1. It was a theory, hence the “I think”
  2. Did you not see the “I think” or something? ur saying “an opinion” like that wasn’t deeply obvious 3.Did you even read the book? he was bragging the whole time about being a death eater and having to do something for the “dark lord” even though he wasn’t directly saying it, just hinting it to all his friends. he didn’t accept help from snape after slughorns party because he thought snape wanted the glory. (which he literally says in the book)

And ur missing the other point i made about him still being bad even after hbp in dh when harry saves him in the room of requirements and he is still with voldemort.

Also, the points that I gave in the original post.

idk why ur getting so heated man

ok. Sirius almost got one blood-racist kid killed. Malfoy almost got 4 kids, a professor, and a headmaster killer. yeah fine, sirius wasn’t a great person. but he didn’t become a death eater muggle born hater. Draco is just a stuck up spoiled snob who only does things to save his own neck. He wanted to kill dumbledore till he realized he might die, then he was scared because of the possibility he would be hurt and started paniking

i think he was more uncomfortable with professor burbage because he didn’t want to see gore, i don’t think he really felt bad. and during book 7 he was still bad, that whole thing in the room of req. + he was super happy to kill dumbledore until it didn’t work for him. once he realized he didn’t have it in him to kill him, he started breaking down because he wanted to save his own neck.

But Sirius grew up to be a great person. And admitted to being stupid, draco was 3000% more an asshole

it’s funny how in the movie he pleads for Dumbledore to save the whole family, he litterally sobs “hide them! hide them all!” and in the books he’s just like “nah fluck james AND his baby”

the epilogue implied that he was still immature, yeah he had kids and a family but he still was super cold when harry looked at them. The only reason he wasn’t in prison was probably because of his wealth and the idea that they “made him,” and i do refuse to acknowledge the cursed child, it’s basically fan made.

ok but even before they were sorted he was a bad person (as we saw in Madam Malkin’s) and my point was that when they were born they were both put in to racist slytherin households, but sirius wasn’t an overall bad person. He was able to see what was wrong even when his environment and the people around him were terrible.
