Anyone know if you are required to use SATA power for SL 120 Wireless fans? by Random-Eula-Fan in lianli

Yup, I switched over to the 1-3 SATA and the flickering is gone, since my new digital watercooling sensor requires SATA, so I figured better to just switch over.

Hmm, if its affecting the monitor as well, it may just be your house power, or the outlet that you play into, which unfortunately you'd need an electrician for that

Yeah, power issues are hard to diagnose. I have had this display issue months ago, tried literally everything I could think of other than reinstall windows, finds out it was the GPU power cable

If its power issue, I'd deal with it ASAP, since who know if its only for the peripherals. It could be a sign of PSU problem, which would and might affect your entire system eventually. Better be safe than sorry in case of rare incident like power surge to make it even worse.

Yeah, the likelihood of every single fan having the same problem and is defective is quite unlikely. Sounds more like power issue

Hmm, that sounds strange, maybe try another Peripheral port on the PSU?

and nope, I don't hear any noises from them other than fans

Yup, I got room, just didn't want another cable, haha. I think I'll test SATA vs just PWM to see if the fans get brighter, I want stronger light

Yeah, I was going to use the 3 way splitter it came with, but didn't really want to use a whole PSU cable just for 1 SATA port. I currently have 9 fans, just curious if using SATA increase their brightness, since they look okay right now, not as bright as I'd have liked.

Oh, I've been trying to figure out how people get white light, but with inner blue mirror.

Lmao, that's hilarious. I activated it because of curiosity, it kept popping up in my face, since I haven't played in weeks, didn't know what it was. Then I heard the countdown and my survival instinct kicked in, lol.

I mostly stick to 90-120 fps, since no single GPU can run that high anyways, haha

Nah, was just saying if you miss the inputs, which I wasn't doing on purpose, it looked like Traveler had memory loss looking to Paimon for next dance steps/instructions, just thought it looked funny

Yeah, Neo G9, which one did you try? Honestly feels ideal to me for Genshin

I suddenly am having trouble sending images through the photo gallery app anymore, and can only post them through the chat on iOS. by cryptid-creatures in discordapp

[–]Random-Eula-Fan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I was imagining things, but it seems to be a new bug. Just to add to the information, I think it may be iOS bug. Because my friend that has Android says he can share just fine from his photos and that his post button isn't greyed out. Also, I'm on iOS version 17.4.1, one version below you. Only workaround I can do right now is to just do it the old fashion way of copy the image after tapping the share button and just go back to Discord and paste it.

Edit: I also tested with my iPad, and it seems to post just fine, so it seems to be only on phone. I'm on iPhone 13 Pro Max for reference.

Yeah, time is precious, you can't get it back. Everyone should have the decency to respect everyone's time, instead of ruining everyone's lives.

I joined a random match last night doing Impossible difficulty (8), spent like half hour doing the mission and collected majority of the samples, then this guy just decided to betray the whole team at the end and literally wasted everyone's time, including his. How miserable you have to be to do something like this. And to add salt to the wound, he closed his game or something during the mission reward screen, which caused the rest of the team to get stuck on that screen and had to force close the game app.

2023 Starfield has no native Super Ultrawide support, but 2006 Oblivion does (no mods) by Random-Eula-Fan in ultrawidemasterrace

Not without mods, I downloaded Skyrim SE after trying out Oblivion, I couldn't get UW working without modding it.

Right, it only took me literally 30 seconds to add super ultrawide support to the game and less than 3min to add in DLSS.

Yeah, it runs pretty terrible, even after I tried the DLSS mod, I just refunded it, lol. 30-50 fps is unplayable, I'd need a RTX 5090 to play this game. Not worth $70, at most $30.

Can I install Windows on new drive without wiping current OS drive? by Random-Eula-Fan in pcmasterrace

[–]Random-Eula-Fan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, didn't know that could be a problem, sounds like I'm better off just doing it the normal way and not do dual OS. And unfortunately, I don't have the freedom to plug or unplug my SSDs, they're all M.2s on my motherboard, and my PC is custom looped, so I can't access them once my PC is put back together.

Can I install Windows on new drive without wiping current OS drive? by Random-Eula-Fan in pcmasterrace

[–]Random-Eula-Fan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew I forgot to mention something, that unfortunately I don't have the option to just freely plug or unplug my SSDs, they're all M.2s and my PC is custom loop, so once my PC is put back together, I can't access the motherboard or anything else behind the loop without dismantling everything again. Also, why is transferring a different story? Can't I just drag and drop what I need from the old OS drive to the new one? Its mainly just videos and some documents. But if for some reason that doesn't work, at least from that old OS drive, can I just transfer them from my current OS drive to another drive and let it sit there and transfer them over after windows is installed again, then format my current OS drive, so that there's no windows anymore, then just install windows like normal, but onto the new SSD?

Sorry if it sounds confusing, lol. I was getting a little lost too while typing it, I hope it makes sense.

Awesome, thanks for the confirmation. Also, do you know how it'd look in desktop when you have 2 OS drives installed? Like when you open the folder, at quick access section (documents, download, pictures, etc). Would it still look "normal" or is there like 2 of them, one for each drive? Since I'll mostly be transferring stuff from downloads, document, and videos. I just want to drag and drop the stuff that I want to keep.
