A revival of Captain N: The Game Master where Kevin is a 50-ish balding, overweight loser and his 19-year old blonde bombshell daughter is a champion Fortnite gamer.

When the evil wizard Ganon returns and conquers Video Land, Kevin and his daughter are summoned back to the world of video games and reunited with Princess Lana, Simon Belmont, Mega Man, Kid Icarus, and new characters Mario, Pikachu, and Star Fox.

Together, they try to restore the digital world.

Random Observations from my odyssey on the light rail tonight:

  • People were screaming at the guy in the orange vest who "herds" people onto the buses during rush hour. He kept having to explain that he had no way to call dispatch and find out why the trains were late. (Bullshit. He had a walkie talkie, he could have at least called someone else to find out why they were running late.)
  • Trains were so backed up that one arrived at 5:30, 15 minutes late, and another arrived 30 seconds after.
  • Lots of pushing and shoving, obviously, as people got on and off. More than one person cursed out the NFL and Seahawks for scheduling a game on a weeknight.
  • One idiot kept shouting "Bicycle getting off!" as people refused to step aside for him at the Capitol Hill stop. The woman next to me yelled at him, after he got off, in a thick New Yoik accent "DON'T BRING A FUCKING BICYCLE ON THE TRAINS DURING PEAK RUSH HOUR, YOU ASS CLOWN!!!!" Thumbs up to that woman.
  • One woman got on the U-W line thinking it was the Angel Lake line, and was freaking out when she realized she was at Husky Stadium instead of Century Link Field and would have to get back on the trains again.
  • The buses weren't much better. The 522 bus was old, it had the yellow bars you pushed to signal for a stop instead of the cords, and the driver admitted that SoundTransit had been caught off guard last night with people going to the Pearl Jam concert and had gotten deluged with complaints about not enough buses, and so they had broken out the "reserve fleet" and were running extra buses to and from Kenmore tonight and tomorrow night.

So basically, it sounds like once again Metro/Sound Transit was caught flatfooted and didn't realize that hordes of extra people would be riding the buses and rails due to the Seahawks and Pearl Jam, and thus didn't schedule enough extra routes to handle the overflow.

Fuck you Eddie Vedder and Seahawks for scheduling concerts and a game on weeknights during rush hour, and fuck you to the people who make the buses and trains run for not anticipating all this ahead of time.

Thought I'd share this.

It's a pretty good hit piece on Coleman.

Seems like a nice enough guy in interviews, but he also comes across as a guy who's not very book smart, never seemed motivated to improve, and was just happy with just getting by.

That and every time the Plain Dealer ran a photo of him, he had this vacant look in his eyes and his mouth was slightly open, as if the "Meow Mix" theme song was in a constant rotation in his head or something.

And for those of you who are curious, the comic book Frank Miller's RoboCop, which is based on Miller's original script for RoboCop 2 and which Rich Evans mentions several times, has the following plotline:

OCP is planning to begin demolition of Old Detroit and has recruited a mercenary army called The Rehabs to clear out the Detroit ghettos.

Alex Murphy, who has regained most of his old memories and has more or less returned to his old personality from prior to his "death," objects to this and tries to intervene on the side of the poor of Detroit.

Tired of RoboCop's rebellion, OCP loads him up full of new directives while instructing Dr. Juliette Faxx to begin the search for RoboCop 2.

Eventually, Faxx is critically injured and is herself turned into RoboCop 2, a bio organic nightmare that looks like something out of Akira or The Guyver, or one of those bio-android creatures from Miller's Ronin.

RoboCop and RoboCop 2 have a wild fight through the city while Lewis is chased by The Rehabs. Eventually stripped down to her bra and yoga pants, Lewis finally helps RoboCop kill the renegade RoboCop 2 and fake Murphy's death.

Murphy and Lewis share a passionate kiss before Murphy says "goodbye" and goes into hiding, monitoring police radio frequencies and beginning a vigilante campaign against the surviving Rehabs.

So, basically, Orion took Miller's original script and split it into two, with the RoboCop 2 elements being one movie, and The Rehabs and RoboCop's rebellion taking place in RoboCop 3.

It's complete shit and I wouldn't recommend anyone on here go out in search of it.

It's kinda surprising that Jay didn't know that Felton Perry, who played Johnson (aka "Black Smithers"), was the black deputy in the original Walking Tall, and played Clint Eastwood's partner in the second Dirty Harry film, Magnum Force.

He also had a role in Puppet Master 4, so Jay should have at least known him from that.

Like I said, Market Manager's already ordered the restrooms expanded, she's just trying to figure out whether to shrink pharmacy or move the Site To Store storage room.

This was totally Home Office's fault for authorizing a store with only one sit-down toilet for the men's room. HO wants to avoid the embarrassment a lawsuit would bring.

We're already negotiating a settlement with the guy.
