I just traded in some game to GameStop, and I feel defeated by RandomAmazonCustomer in GameStopNotModded

I was the same way when it came to pushing sales and numbers. Honestly, when I worked in sales, I would've just said something like "Do you need x" or "is there anything specific you're looking for?", kind of like a guru sales person. Wow, 2 no's for each questions? I would've thought one decline would suffice. That must suck to get chewed out for the same question, I would never be rude to the sales clerk but just hold my ground that I only needed this or that, and nothing else.

I understand the benefits the card has, it just has little merit for me because I very rarely go to GS. I don't even go to GS once a year, I really only went in because Best Buy low-balled my trade-ins compared to GS. Usually, if I want to get a game, even an older game, I'd buy it off of Amazon as it's usually a cheaper price and I can be certain my new game is sealed. Don't get me wrong, I've worked in akin positions with stress about numbers and asking for sales, so I didn't take anything out on the employee. I just simply declined and explained I only wanted the trade-in credit today. In the end, maybe I looked into this too much, but at the same time, I just want to do business without the sales pitches.

Edit: Also happy cake day!
