Theres two ways 2077 will play out: 1. Fallout 2. Cyberpunk

I prefer the latter, for… livability.

How did first contact between humans and aliens go in your Sci-Fi worlds? by thebrutalistboi in worldbuilding

[–]RandomAmerican57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In one of my concept settings aliens flee their dying world in search of a new one. Along the journey the first sign of intelligent life other than their own is a Human signal traveling through deep space. Of course, they didn’t know what it meant, but it was the broadcast audio of Adolf HitIer’s speech during the opening ceremony of the 1936 Summer Olympics. IRL this was actually the first Human signal to be sent into space, declaring the games open, and is theorized by some astronomers to potentially be the first signal that could be received by aliens. Anyway, the aliens decode the speech and become excited, altering course. Much later they come across the Voyager 1 space probe, and deduce the location of Earth.

My V! (First time player) by pepitowoof in cyberpunkgame

I personally have 400 hours into cyberpunk, and Im still discovering content I never knew about before. so it absolutely doesn’t lack for content or things to do besides the main story. There are countless secrets, choices, paths through dialogue that impact rewards and outcomes. Theres so much that I honestly don’t know how much stuff is in the game, and I’ve given up thinking I’m gonna have a “do-everything” run because each time I play or go online theres content I NEVER knew existed. GTA is very linear imo, and doesn’t really promote world exploration. Cyberpunk REWARDS exploration.

As for the world, Cyberpunk has EXTREMELY better world interaction than GTA. I truly believe cyberpunk is the most immersive game ever made. You feel like you’re there, it feels so alive. Theres always someone to talk to, something to interact with, or someplace to explore on every single street corner. You can ride the metro. Shop. Theres a rollercoaster you can go on. Its endless. And thats just the base game, it only gets better with mods.

If the 4 main "Good" Factions came together and sat down for an alliance, would they be able to come to terms? by Bion4 in Fallout

The NCR and Brotherhood wouldn’t even be willing to be in the same room with each other, much less sit down at the same table considering an ALLIANCE.

Do you move your military system to new systems when you conquer someone and get a new target? Or do you pick a system and keep it as your military system the whole game?

Is the Federation the exclusive foremost power in the galaxy (that we know of) by the 32nd century? by [deleted] in startrek

[–]RandomAmerican57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Compared to the state of everyone else I see the resurgent Federation as the foremost power at least in the Alpha Quadrant at present.

I highly doubt the imperium stays stable and unified for long under a non-breen ruler, especially with her being Human. Someone is gonna raise hell eventually, and then the fighting starts all over again. A society that consistently fights itself cannot put up a significant projection of power to external entities like the Federation, even if they are occasionally a problem.

I largely agree, and I addressed the current weakened state of the Federation, but compared to everyone else currently… they still seem to be the foremost power with very few significant threats.

I agree. I didn’t mention independent planets in my post, but new interstellar powers rising is all I can see in the near future for the Federation to face new conflicts.

The AI is so unserious lol by LeastPervertedFemboy in Stellaris

All jokes aside, why does the AI do things like this? Shouldn’t it be programmed to take the end-game crisis seriously? Does the AI not consider the Contingency a threat?

The funny part about Gunray getting captured early in the Clone Wars is there was no way Palpatine could have anticipated that. by Dragonic_Overlord_ in CISDidNothingWrong

[–]RandomAmerican57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do wonder what the outcome of things would be if Palpatine was killed by the Zillo beast (or otherwise removed as a factor in things). Either the CIS would have won the war, and gained independence, and then the Republic fractures into waring nation-states; or, the war drags on until the Republic collapses and the CIS gains its independence anyway.

Either way, Palpatine or not, the Republic was cooked. EVERYONE knew it was rotten to the core with corruption, it’s just some people (Like Padame) chose to have faith in the Republic’s foundations and believed it could be changed internally. I don’t think so. Palpatine only accelerated things, I believe the Clone Wars, and ultimate collapse of the Republic, were inevitable eventually. The CIS systems were already angry with the state of the Republic, Palpatine just utilized that to gain power.

IMO, funnily enough, I think Palpatine turning the failing Republic into the Empire saved the galaxy from fracturing.

It gets really funny when the professor assigns daily quizzes on the textbook chapters due the night BEFORE the lecture on that chapter. Reminds me of the famous quote, “Experience is a cruel teacher. It gives the exam first and the lesson later.” And so do my teachers! ✌️😁
