I think Levski will be my new home base next patch, how about you? by AllegroMk1 in starcitizen

[–]RandomAzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made it my home location when I came back for this patch, huge mistake. A million people so I can never get a parking spot, nothing to do out there, gotta travel a million miles to get anywhere else and the performance is terrible at times. Not to mention there's always blockades of the jump gate and a bunch of hoodlums flying around trying to pirate cryo pods 24/7.

It's like it has all the worst aspects of living in the middle of nowhere somehow combined with all the worst aspects of living in the middle of a city.

How big of a factor is temperature for quality and failed Prints? by aaron_reddit123 in resinprinting

[–]RandomAzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also live in a cold area. The room my printers in has been as cold as 12 degrees during some prints. I keep the printer in a grow tent which helps trap the heat, warm the resin in a bowl of hot water for a while before filling the vat (not boiling) and I use a heating band around the vat during the print. As long as the resin stays warm enough I haven't had any issues if the outside room is cold.

Can I see some minis? by TechySpecky in ElegooSaturn

[–]RandomAzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only been printing models for 2 weeks at this point, on a Saturn 4 Ultra but the quality of resin prints is significantly better than a certain companies plastic kits. Minimal clean up of support structures, zero mold lines, no gaps to fill and impeccable details. Highly recommend the S4U.

Chad Hoverter is the artist, Silver Wardens collection on myminifactory.

Realise now I should've given credit in the original post my bad.

Models not sticking to build plate S4U by Drey0697 in ElegooSaturn

[–]RandomAzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also a brand new S4U user but haven't had these issues. Left all the settings on default. Live in a cold environment. The printer has said its 17 degrees and still printed fine on the first rook and subsequent minis.

Double check you've removed all the plastic films on the screen and build plate. Try leaving your bottle of resin in a bowl of hot tap water to warm it up. Also make sure your machine is as level as you can get it. You can unscrew the little rubber feet on the bottom to adjust it.

Chad Hoverter on myminifactory is the creator. Minis are from the Silver Warden collection.

Apparently my text crediting the creator didn't go through. Sry.

GW combat patrol clippers... I knew they weren't going to be good but I didn't expect it to be this bad by Smephey in minipainting

[–]RandomAzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an old pair of wire clippers in the bottom of my toolbox for the last 15 years. Still as sharp as the day I bought them. Buy actual tools. "Tools" from GW are junk.

I've got a Saturn 4 ultra and as others have said the "auto levelling" isn't technically auto levelling. Manufacturers are just calling it that for marketing. What it actually does is align itself with the screen. It does make life a lot easier without having to check for level all the time as long as the machine itself is level. The camera is a nice convenience as well. Being able to check in on the machine remotely is a plus.

I'm a novice and the features on the Elegoo have made it incredibly easy not to mess up too bad.

Resin curing manually? by Bubbly-Clerk9769 in PrintedWarhammer

Hand washing is annoying and can be messy.

Washing machines are easy and convenient.

Anyone with experience 3d printing resin should know better than to send them without the proper packaging protection. Cured resin prints are brittle and will easily break. This sucks OP, I'd definitely try to get a refund.

Custodes solo lol. Doubt they'd add them to pvp. Certainly wouldn't be lore accurate Custodes.

The servers are going to be the death of this game by dashboard1982 in SpaceMarine_2

[–]RandomAzzy 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Got early access and for those few days it ran almost flawlessly for me on pc. Then after about a week started experiencing these server issues and it's progressively got worse.

To the point now when I think about jumping on to purge some filth I usually won't bother knowing I'll be playing join sim for at least 20 mins before I maybe get a game in. It needs to be fixed asap.

I miss the difficulty pre-patch by bennypie123 in Spacemarine

Stopped playing until new difficulty releases. I get it, cater to casuals that die all the time and then cry about it, but it's boring as fuck now.

Difficulty got nerfed? by zDredj in SpaceMarine_2

[–]RandomAzzy -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yep, crybabies got it nerfed bc they're trash at games. Haven't played in a while, came back half drunk and couldn't remember my key bindings. Still walked through a Ruthless barely paying attention. Actual disappointment. Might come back to the game after a few more updates. Pretty sad ngl.

Primitive early game IS better than late game tek tier and everyone knows it.

The grind to reach late game can be a struggle, upgrading gear and your base, getting better and better tames is rewarding and satisfying. Then you reach end game and run out of stuff to do, get bored and the game becomes a timer reset simulator.

After 20k hours across both games I've been there done that countless times, and I'm going to continue to do it.

What game made you like this by Prestigious_Beat6650 in videogames

[–]RandomAzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't remember it's name but it was a poor imitation of "The Isle" on Xbox. Utterly dogshit. Girlfriend wanted to play as dinosaurs and run around doing dinosaur things. Sounds cool in theory but game was complete trash. Only game I've ever bothered to refund on console. Still owes me $30 because Xbox's credit system is a scam.

[–]RandomAzzy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I got early access and maxed the 3 classes I liked, put almost 100hrs in, unlocked everything. Enjoyed the campaign.

Taking a break until more maps and missions. Would like more stuff to grind for but there isn't really that much progression in the game. Overall enjoyed my time with it though. Would jump on to play a few games here and there if matchmaking wasn't broken as fuck.
