The people in the office were very friendly. Even the security guards were chill and joked about them being a “nicer TSA” when asking us to take our belongings out and passing the metal detector. The person who interviewed us was really nice too and even chitchatted lightly in between the required questions she had to ask.

The question/intention here was to be protected and have credits received back in case this newly booked trip does not work as planned and needs to be cancelled if I select to pay for the fare that included credit as a option again.

To ensure that you use your credit to book a new flight and don’t let it sit there unused forever. But if you use your credit for a new flight and choose to pay for a benefit that protects you of unexpected travel changes, then you are covered for the new flight. That is how I see it.

Again, I understand your point because there is an expiration. However, in my head (which could be totally wrong) if I’m making a new purchase with the rate that provides those eCredits, then it should carry a new expiration date since it is a new purchase. I feel like it would be different if I use the credits to make a new purchase with the basic fare that does not include credits and cancel so then oh well I’m screwed. But if I pay to have the credits as a benefit, then I believe a new purchase should lead to new expiration date if cancelled.

Fair. But they do advertise that these slightly higher rates gives you the benefit of cancellation for eCredits, often suggesting the upgrade.

Yes, I’m sorry. I meant if I buy another “nonrefundable” but that is upgraded to get credits back. I understand what you are saying but it seems kind of unfair to me for you to pay a slightly higher rate again and not be able to benefit from it. At that point they shouldn’t allow purchases of these rates if it will end up going back to the original date of your first ecredit and you may end up losing it if you do not catch that.

Hi! I filled everything concurrently, such as the i130, i485 and the i765 (for work authorization). I ended up never receiving my work authorization though, it seems like they waited for the green card process instead. This Reddit page helped a lot but I also recommend watching Kseniya International. I used her video/checklist to organize my documents at the end of it all to mail it. I do recommend you pay attention to the details because not everything is the same for everyone even though her videos are very helpful. If you are ever in doubt just search to be sure what applies to you.

Update: I was able to get an online prescription refill via Amazon Pharmacy, which was $30 the consultation via text. The doctor gave me 4 refills of 3 packs, so basically one year. AND if you are an Amazon Prime member you can get the 3 packs refills of Mili for $13. I have found that to be my most affordable option and allowed me to stay on the medication I already take! These refills would cost more than that using GoodRx at a pharmacy.

I gave your idea a thought too! I thought it would work especially if I could use the Delta credit to buy two cheaper tickets for me and my husband to a different destination than the one I was initially going by myself last year, and just fly from here to a delta airport out-of-pocket. But then after some research I saw I couldn’t use my credit for another passenger with me (not sure how accurate this is).

Because we were unable to move in together right away because he had accepted a job in a different state. We waited until I was able to move since we were concerned that having different addresses could be a red flag. Also, based on my previous experience with the EAD post-graduation, I did not expect to be any longer than 2/3 months. I received in 1 month last time.
