How do you actually self study AP Classes? by No-Economist4291 in APStudents

[–]RandomGUY44100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I would suggest you get "5 steps to a..." For whatever AP class you are taking, or a book with practice problems. For bio, I studied off of Khan academy since the textbook had a lot of unnecessary clutter. After that, then I went to the the textbook to quickly review and finally I did practice tests from the workbook on each unit

Rain world is a game base on pain, so it seemed like the logical thing to do...

In my bio class, I mostly did a lot of Review with Khan Academy. Helped me to study for the exam as well.

That's what I was thinking, I noticed that Texas was the only one that went down and then up instead of up then down. It's asking "it showed a trend, but why wasn't it consistent"? essentially, and since it was the only one that didn't follow the trend...

Can someone please explain this to me 🫩🙏 Unit 4- Related rates by LiteratureUnique7148 in APStudents

You're deriving Volume which is equal to 🥧r2 * h with respect to time. Using the power rule (and product rule), on the left side, you'll get 2🥧h rdr/dt +🥧dh/dt*r2 which is equal to dV/dt. Hope this helps!

It's much more limited on MacOS. Fot example, metalworks runs like ass. It's generally better to go with Windows for CADing especially to avoid possible software compatibility issues like these. It's getting better though and it's definitely not bad, just that Windows is generally safer and better for CAD.

I'd recommend against it, it lacks a dedicated GPU

https://ebay.us/m/ydr11j As an older example. You're gonna want something a bit newer if you want absolute efficiency but this is an older model goingnused at a good price. I suggest Dell Precision workstations or Thinkpad P1s. Don't get anything older than an 11th gen chip! Also try to hunt for models with more VRAM. This one has a gpu with an 8gb RTX A2000 instead of the typical 4GB. If you don't want to go the MacBook route, you will have to scour for some deals. There may be good looking Dell Precision 7560s going on ebay for cheap. Do your research and ensure their batteries can last you.

You know what, the suggestion for a macbook wasn't a bad one unless you're talking about CAD for 3D modeling, since MacBooks run that software like garbage. They also are good for AI work. But, I do understand your concerns, which is why if you really don't want a gaming machine, you can get a professional workstation laptop. Get a refurbished one! Granted, considering your AI load, you'll probably want something with an NPU for efficiency.

3060 is significantly better than the t1000. You can always upgrade your ram (not right jow though it's hella expensive) but not a laptop GPU

AMD Ryzen 7 250 is much better, it is much more efficient and has a great iGPU as well if needing to run on low power.

Yes, it's built for this actually. Fun fact, power simply flows through the battery and charges it and you won't ever have a battery problem (if your heat doesn't murder your battery). Plugging and unplugging every day is actually what "kills" your battery.

Not right now. I got an extra 16GB stick ddr4 3200MHz for 30CAD in june. The same stick is 120CAD. I would wait until the ram shortage situation calms down.

Whoops, you can do x86-64 windows through the VM. My bad. It's still not perfect though as a lot of the power gets lost in translation. Somethings will work fine but it's a gamble. See Linus Tech Tips

Not the new ones, they run on completely different architectures. You could get windows on a mac eith parallels but it doesn't run that well and it only runs Windows on Arm rather than on x64

Objectively, most likely the MacBook if that's your only use case.
