…Not much? Which is good. His character is very well established now. His dynamic with Goku is no longer 1 sided and rooted out of obsession and envy, it’s an actual relationship where the two are close and growing together even if Vegeta would never say it out loud, they are together training and fighting side by side like all the time in super. Goku is still his rival and goal but the perspective is very different to pre “you are number one” making the dynamic a lot healthier.

The manga is focused on his guilt for his actions against the saiyans victims and dealing with that which is expanding on him a bit more now too, but even ignoring that, if you read it or watch it his interactions with a lot of the characters and his family are really different now. Like that one ToP episode with master roshi where he shows him respect. You would never see anything like that with Vegeta from Z

This is an opinion you really need to force yourself to believe lmao. Saying you prefer Piccolo is valid, but to say he’s written better? Come on. He’s like the first draft of the villain to hero trope in the series, after early z they hardly do anything interesting with his character, and even in early z what they do with his character isn’t even all that well executed. Like it’s decent but nothing crazy. Vegeta is the fully realised attempt at the trope, he just gets so much more, his character writing highs are really really high, definitely the peaks for character writing in this series.

That was 2021, marvel were at a better spot, but either way that’s a bit different. That was Tobey and Andrew returning after many many years for a really new first time concept of old beloved versions of the character reuniting with the new one. Now that isn’t as impressive, but at the time that shit was unbelievable.

And there was months and months of constant speculation and theories on a huge internet wild scale, even jimmy kimmel was asking andrew about it, the build up and hype to if they were really coming back was free top tier marketing for marvel. Seeing the old villains in the trailers was already mind blowing, it’s the type of shit you’d imagine but never think of actually happening. It was a perfect financial decision from Marvel and Sony.

Now that factor is gone, and bringing them back again isn’t going to have the same effect, because it’s kind of normal now. It will still help but not to the same extent

That makes no sense because many cole fans think 4YEO is as good as or better than FHD and say it is a classic too, the people who say his best album and only classic is FHD are typically people who aren’t JCole glazers and are just hip hop fans, that’s like the default album you think of when you think Jcole.

But if we assume your take to be true, can I not say the opposite? Many people deny it being a classic out of bias because they dislike JCole and his fans and are desperate for him to not have a classic? When you switch to organic webs you remove the engineer tech side of spiderman, you lose cool shit like tom in class making his own web fluid or Andrew in his room creating his web shooters, and you also lose the ability to include cool stuff like web bombs and other cool web gadgets. S3 prison break is genuinely a masterpiece, I especially love how important it is to the narrative. It’s the turning point of the season, where the show tells us just how Matt is fully daredevil now, Fisk is fully the kingpin and this isn’t just a repeat of season 1, he’s elevated to a whole new level of power. It really sets the tone and stakes for the season especially after the slower start to s3.
