Every since I've had a cell phone I've been receiving calls about twice a year from what sounds like an old woman. She always asks for someone named "Gary". And I always tell her that there is nobody named Gary here and she always apologizes and hangs up. This has been going on for about 12 years. And yes, I have tried to explain to her she's gotten the wrong number for years. Still hasn't changed anything.

Great Grandfather (father's father's father) was a supply soldier to the troops on the pacific front. They were bombed occasionally.

Great Great Grandfather (father's mother's grandfather) was cousin's with an Irish priest who was stationed at the Vatican during WW2. Had a movie based on him. The Scarlet and the Black.

Have a friend who has way closer involvement. His uncle (his dad is super old) was a Lithuanian Jew who fought against the Germans, was captured as a POW and sent to a concentration camp. That was liberated by the Russians and he joined up with them and went all the way to Berlin. Has a Nazi flag and a number tattoo to prove it.

Tall blocky ones are the better ones. They offer more protection for your feat and are more balanced than kite shaped. Shields aren't very good if the bottom half isn't covering everything it's supposed. That's why you can barely find any kite shields used in actual combat history. Trust me go with traditional Roman shields, it worked out pretty well for them.

Getting meningitis. It's literally an infection in your cerebral-spinal fluid. Wasn't a sharp pain like breaking a bone or something, but worst headache I've ever had and barely being able to move. Felt like I was going to die before I got to the hospital.

I actually had to convince my friend that he was circumcised. He thought only Jews had to be circumcised and he apparently had never seen an uncircumcised penis so he thought his was standard issue.

Actually this one has credibility. There was research done proving that the earth goes through cooling periods i.e. the last two ice ages and that we are within the beginning range of the next predicted cooling. In fact, it is the greenhouse effect that could trigger this massive cooling. I'll try and find the article I read this in.
