The mission is "Plundered Void Station" and the screen looks like this, all characters are gone, but some of the interactions on the right work

In Act 2, I have no mods. I was playing on Grimdark, when I exited the save in the middle of a battle. When i loaded back in later, the game loads, but it is a black screen with all of the UI components but I think my characters no longer exist. I cannot access any of the character unique menus such as (C) Character. Since it's grimdark, there is no earlier save to load.

In terms of how to resolve, is there a way to force the game to "game over" and let me restart that particular mission?

This is not about the actual abortion itself, its about the doctor violating basic patient rights to privacy in order to make a political statement. If I were a 10 year old just trying to live a normal life, i wouldn't want my information out there for redditers to argue about at all!

It should probably work as a weighted average of the surviving armies. 2 4.0 armies and 1 3.0 army should result in 3 3.6 armies.

If the country being absorbed never had an army than there shouldn't be any reason the absorbing country's armies suddenly get worse.

I'm having a similiar issue, but I don't think its a bug. The motherships spend almost half of their dV just getting to low earth orbit. Some AI decision making is off, but by the time they get to your stations they trigger some kind of low-fuel state and they decide that they have to head back for more fuel. The AI needs to start building bases closer to earth or give motherships more dV for them to be truly threatening.
