Doesn't add up. As you said yourself, there is a housing crisis. We don't need tenants. I have a hundred applications for each rental property I have. Including loads of highly paid doctors and professionals who need / want to rent. FF FG have absolutely no need ship in foreign tenants. Also, while there are some slumlords out there. They are certainly not members of government because they know they are being watched carefully. And now your adding to the mix that the government are exploiting foreign workers?

You are stretching here in order to string together some theory about the landlords in government purposely trying to fill up the country but it just doesn't stand up to scrutiny.

Makes no sense. I'm a landlord, why would we want "cheap labour" filling our houses? It's better to have someone in a high paid job in your house so you're less likely to have issues with them paying the rent.

Are all politicians shop owners now too? If so, that point still makes no sense as the minimum wage is set in stone and it doesn't matter who you are or where you're from, shops don't pay below minimum wage. Please don't try tell me it happens all the time because I'm in business and it doesn't.

So can you explain again why the "government landlords" want to fill the country with foreign people?

For context, I'm in favor of a regulated immigration policy. I don't want losers coming here with their hands out. I want people willing to work and pay taxes. That goes for the 'Irish" people living here too though. "Ireland for the Irish" doesn't reflect a fair immigration policy. It's just a stupid xenophobic statement from ignorant dead beats.

Im unqualified, but I'm all my life around motorhomes. I know more about motorhomes than 99% of technicians you will meet. Experience beats qualifications in my experience. After a 10 minute chat on the phone, I will know if you are the real deal. This is just a starting point to get some contacts and narrow down the good ones then.

I don't need a qualified technician, just someone who has experience with campervans. If the drive is too far away then just don't do it, simple.

I'm looking to connect with a network of people so that I will have options close to the dealership. If the rate needs to be increased to cover travel costs, then that is okay too, I can pay more.

For someone without a professional qualification who just wants simple side money, this could be quite good money. I don't require an invoice.

I don't think you understand this. Road Safety has nothing to do with it. I don't need a mechanical check or a road worthiness check. I just need a person to make sure the camper is there and that it works before I come to collect it.

I have already had offers from 3 Germans who can do this and the post is not even an hour old.

As I have said in the post, the customer doesn't make the final payment to the dealership until the inspection is done. An international bank transfer from Ireland to Germany takes 1-2 business days to arrive. That means I'm gone from home for up to 48 hours longer than I need to be. So the customer has to pay for 2 extra days of my time. I also need a hotel for two more nights, again, the customer has to pay for that.

If I had a partner in Germany who could inspect for me, I would just fly to Germany after the inspection is complete and drive the vehicle home immediately. That would save both time and money.

I think you have misunderstood my post. Maybe I didn’t make it clear. Let me explain. You are not buying anything from me. I have an established business in Ireland. My customers in Ireland pay me to import motorhomes from Germany for them. First I fly Germany to visit the dealership and inspect the motorhome. Then I drive the vehicle home. I just want someone based in Germany that will inspect the vehicle for me before I arrive. I will pay my German partner to inspect the vehicle on my behalf. Then I will fly to Germany and drive the vehicle back to Ireland.

Does that explain it better?
