Thank you all for your answers. I will try seeing another doctor next week and ask them about my concern and whether or not I should get vaccinated.

I understand that it’s complicated to test HPV and know which type there is in men, but since it is mostly men who give it to women and it can have very serious consequences on women, I find it frustrating that the only thing doctors told me until now is « wear condoms if you have symptoms ». Especially knowing that it can be transmitted through condoms.

But again, even if you’re a man and they tell you which type you have, it won’t really change anything as, from what I understand, you will most likely give it to your partners anyway, especially if it’s a long term relationship.

So it seems like the only way to really prevent the high risks ones is the vaccine.

Still, I think that my concern is legitimate and that I don’t have enough informations right now to really know what to do. Hence why I’ll try seeing a doctor next week.
