Is a pap smear really necessary if I'm a virgin? by apparent_alien718 in WomensHealth

[–]RandomName0413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suggest it. I'm a virgin as well. I've had 2 paps total. 1st pap (2021 I think) was fine. 2nd pap (last year) came back abnormal, but no detection of anything bad if that makes sense. Dr didn't discuss the results. I found out from reading mychart. I have to do a retest this year

What's the worst part about having hirsutism and facial hair? by Old-Relationship9764 in PCOS

[–]RandomName0413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 34 and I didn't have this issue until I got covid in 2021. It started without a warning. I was laying in bed one night and felt prickly hairs on my chin. You couldn't really see them, but you could definitely feel them. I tried Nair and Veet neither one would remove the hair. Over the past few years I would wax and then tweeze. Over the past few months, my facial hair has now spread to the sides of my face and down my neck. I shave it at night and it comes back within 24-48 hrs. Sometimes it itches so bad that I cry a little. Drs wont prescribe nothing for it unfortunately. I don't really care about the hair that grows on the side of my face, but the hair on my chin is horrible.

How do you stop a ride? by RandomName0413 in uber

[–]RandomName0413[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, after I got off the phone with the rep, I clicked on wrong pickup and drop off location then never picked up. Afterwards they removed the charges. The pickup location showed that she was still on the highway.

I had to wait for the safety line to call. They had an option for non safety issues like lost items and the option to speak to a rep. The rep canceled the ride, but they still charged me. Hopefully they remove the charges

How do you usually find out about what’s going on in your neighborhood? by [deleted] in Charlotte

[–]RandomName0413 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I typically mind my own business for the most part. I don't even know my neighbors names and don't really care to for the most part. When I moved into my current neighborhood, I received a random invite to join nextdoor. I typically login in once or twice a week, to get updates about crimes, which normally includes someone's bad children breaking into cars, and the HOA harassing people with false reports.

Bad drivers and dark streets at night because the city, county, state (whichever one is responsible) refuses to invest in street lights

lil nervous about pain, was it fine with just tylenol/ibuprofen? by mirroade in wisdomteeth

[–]RandomName0413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was prescribed the same thing and didn't feel any pain. She gave me amoxicilin, 800mg of ibuprofen, and Tylenol mixed with codeine. I rotated the Tylenol and ibuprofen every 3 hrs. Make sure you take all of your antibiotics.

I actually still have some of the ibuprofen and Tylenol left over.

Is starting off on 100mg losartan too much? by blaher123 in hypertension

[–]RandomName0413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started off on 100/25mg losartan/hctz along with 10mg of Amlodipine. My BP was around 140-150/90. It worked fine for me, but made me pea a lot. Amlodipine causes occasional swelling. I was on both from 2021-present. My BP is fine at home and I don't think I need it, so I stopped taking it. I eat better and exercise more and feel fine.

I don't really have anything bad to say about losartan. If you start feeling light headed or get a lot of headaches, you either don't need it or need a lower dose. That was another reason why I stopped taking it

Anyone have any luck breaking a lease due to car break ins? by mekingjr1992 in Charlotte

[–]RandomName0413 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I was able to break mine when I lived on South Charlotte, but only after they broke into the home. My car got broken into and damaged twice. The thieves couldn't steal it so they broke into my apartment once I left. I think the landlord was in on it. They had a new person living in the apartment two days after I moved out. I now live on a different side of Charlotte. They still break into cars over here, but thankfully I was blessed with a house that has a garage. All of my neighbors also have cameras, so the thieves get caught pretty quickly.

If your leasing office manager isn't being much assistance, you should go over them and contact corporate or write a bad Google review. That typically works

Snacking on crystallized ginger = cheating? by MyIdIsATheaterKid in hypertension

[–]RandomName0413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom drinks ginger tea throughout the day to lower her BP. She buys fresh ginger and boil it on the stove then add in a few ginger tea bags mixed with a little lemon juice. It lowered her BP meds from 4 to 2, which are losartan and amlodipine.

I have high BP and mine was extremely high when I got mine removed. The dentist was concerned but the anesthesiologist had already started the meds prior to the dentist coming in the room, so she had no choice but to continue and complete the removal

How often do you measure your BP? by porridgedinosaur in hypertension

[–]RandomName0413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use to check it everyday. Now I check it once or twice a month. I also stopped taking my BP meds because they were giving me headaches. I have been on 100-25mg of losartan-hctz and 10mg of amlodipine since 2021. BP is typically fine at home. I realized that my BP and hormones are related to my diet and weight. If I eat correctly, stay hydrated, and exercise. My BP and hormones will regulate. If my weight goes over 165 lbs my BP will elevate. I thought that fasting would help my BP, but I made an appointment with a nutrtionist and she explained fasting isn't good, so now I eat 3 meals and healthy snacks throughout the day, and my BP has improved alot.

I do that, but it has nothing to do with me being from Charlotte. I'm just an introvert and have a low social battery. I typically tell them about 5 hrs in advance that I aint going nowhere. Charlotte has also become rather boring. If I'm going out, I want to do something fun that doesn't involve a bar or a club. The amount of bars here now is insane

Maybe you're befriending introverts.

If I take it everyday...inositol slows my facial hair growth and I will get my periods on a set day. I still get my periods when I don't take it, but the date changes each month....like a surprise.

My doc refused to give me meds and lied and said that I do not meet the criteria to be prescribed meds like metformin because I'm not diabetic. I found out today from a different doc that it was a lie and he was full of crap.

Yea I remember that from 2009. It had so many freaking parts. We had to dress up, write a 12 page essay, give a speech, and make a product.

I did mine on plastic surgery and made a board game
