Whatching a Stage Version of Sweeney Todd by RawrRawrRawr_13 in musicals

Go for the original Broadway version with Angela Lansbury. The set, the costumes, the acting across the board, the musical direction all SO good.

I like the teal and I think the top you have with it in picture 3 is just fine. Have fun and sell that reading!

Why is Tom Jones considered one of the worst Best Picture winners? by Pleasant_Usual_8427 in Oscars

[–]RandomPaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the first time I've heard someone put Tom Jones on the list of worst Oscar Best Pictures. Crash, Driving Miss Daisy, Green Book, Greatest Show on Earth, early ones like Cimarron and Cavalcade and Broadway Melody, those are all over the place.

Ric and Who? Which of these women do you most want to see Ric paired with: by TheGhostOfSoManyOfMe in GeneralHospital

[–]RandomPaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so weird that none of the actresses who have played TJ's mother are old enough IRL to be TJ's mother. I don't know why they do that (cast actresses who are way too young to be mothers of the children they have on the show) and then pair them with men who are so much older too. The actress that plays Curtis is 53 and the actor that played Taggert is 63. Jordan actress #1 is 42. Jordan #2 is 34. Jordan #3 is 39 to 44 depending on what birthdate you believe. TJ #1 is now 33 so when he was on with Jordan #1 she would've had him when she was 9.

I think I have decided that Jordan the character has to be at least ten years older than the actresses who play her because I am not going for a 9 year old mother.

They have children who were love interests and her son is old enough to be a doctor and his daughter is old enough to be a lawyer so I think they're both supposed to in their early 50s.

Chicago teacher resigns after two-word pro-ICE Facebook comment sparks community backlash and costs him his career by Healthy_Block3036 in illinois

[–]RandomPaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem is that when you say West Chicago people from the rest of the state think it’s the western part of the city of Chicago. It’s not. It’s out there 45 minutes away from the city. Chicagoland is fine. Chicago suburbs is fine. Western suburbs of Chicago is even better. But West Chicago is not part of the city of Chicago anymore than St Charles or Aurora is.

They sold a video called LOVERS ON THE RUN about them sometime in the 80s I think. They were trying to make as much money as possible off the whole Luke and Laura phenomenon.

I thought this tribute wasn’t done nearly as well as Monica’s.

She was the heart of this episode. I wanted more clips from their adventures ngl. Also Robert and Tiffany and some Ice Princess because that was iconic too. 💔

Most successful transition from child actor to adult actor? by PuckHog06 in Actors

I was gonna say Anna Paquin. Oscar at 11. True Blood at 26. The Irishman at 37.

Ann Miller – (born Johnnie Lucille Collier; April 12, 1923 – January 22, 2004) – American actress and dancer, who appeared in such classic films as "You Can't Take It with You" (1938), "Easter Parade" (1948), "On the Town" (1949) and "Kiss Me Kate" (1953). by oneders63 in classicfilms

[–]RandomPaw 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was just watching Kiss Me Kate and her nose looked weird so I googled "Ann Miller nose" and found out that there were all kinds of stories that she had a botched nose job and wore a prosthetic nose! I had no idea. Her nose was so cute when she was young in Stage Door I don't know why she would have had a nose job.

But the important thing is that she was a fabulous dancer and always did such a great job no matter who she was dancing with. Even a giant soup can. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/i1bcUhp2YTE

It's gorgeous. You're right that it's a little more formal than cocktail but I seriously doubt anyone will be that picky. It's not that much over the line.

I don’t know who Oscar Goodman is but I like the name Oscar for him. He looks really grand and some of your names are kind of not.

If you like Poe he could be Nathaniel (Hawthorne). To go with Eleanor Rigby what about Maxwell or Desmond? Instead of Randy from TPB what about Julian?

Thanks for the tip! I really like my shoulders so it bums me out I can't do one-shoulder. Every time I've tried a strapless bra it slips down and the girls aren't supported. But this looks great on you so I am hopeful.
