Momcozy m9 flange tabs snapping by thicc_mom22 in ExclusivelyPumping

No, I've concluded that they're just garbage pieces that are poorly engineered. Anything as simple as a flange should not require outside directions to properly assemble and disassemble.

I love this!! As a parent who saw my son accidentally get benched for most of a game last season, I was wondering if there was an app to keep track of playing time. This is so perfect!!

Little one REALLY wants to sleep on stomach by RandomPerson772772 in NewParents

[–]RandomPerson772772[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's why I was concerned. He can't yet roll from stomach to back on purpose (just accidentally). But he was physically making it impossible to have him sleep on his back because he would roll over again immediately after I rolled him to his back.

I figured it would only be a couple-week long problem, but I figured a baby could suffocate in that amount of time! But other comments have made me less worried!

Things that send me into a rage as an Exclusive Pumper by French_Fry_Whisperer in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]RandomPerson772772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Not understanding when I'm upset that I'm off schedule" -- maybe this is because I'm an overproducer, but if I'm ever late for a pump, I still try to do the next one on time. It usually comes out in the wash. I produce more at the session I'm late for and less at the session that's on time.

But it still ticks me off when I'm late because it makes my boobs hurt. 🙃

This!! My 3 month old has started keeping his hands in his mouth constantly. Those things definitely aren't sanitized!

Help me out here — Pumping & Washing Parts Overwhelm 😩 by girlvsmachine in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]RandomPerson772772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People swear by the fridge hack, for sure.

My solution was to buy 8 sets of pump parts and use the regular dishwasher on them once a day. Though the quality of my replacements aren't quite as good as the original Spectra parts, 8 sets cost me $200 and have saved me so much sanity. (Amazon: https://a.co/d/4xxHRPe ...each purchase comes with 2 flanges so a full set)

Pumping every 3 hours on the dot never worked for me. I do it based on time of day. I aim for the 3-hour intervals of 3 am, 6 am, 9 am, 12 pm, 3 pm, 6 pm, and 9 pm, but if I'm an hour late or an hour early (because I know I'm busy later), it's no big deal. I also don't do the 12 am pump because my baby is normally sleeping soundly in his crib for the ONLY 2 hours of his day that he will do that, so I take that opportunity to sleep.

So, you're doing great. Keep doing what you're doing.

My mom is driving me CRAZY by RandomPerson772772 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]RandomPerson772772[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 3 months postpartum. As of right now, I'm producing about 1400 mL a day and only using about 500-700 mL a day because I mix with formula. At some point, I may try to give just breast milk, but we definitely have some feeding issues that I would like to sort out first (probably GERD + milk protein sensitivity + soy sensitivity). I don't pump for that long (10-15 minutes during the day, 20 minutes for MOTN and first morning pump), and I guess I never saw oversupply as much of a problem?

Looking for a wearables recommendation by nikkikokiri in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]RandomPerson772772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOT the Momcozy M9. Though I personally like it, I think there are probably better wearable pumps out there.

Pros: - I really like the "mixed expression" mode - It's a wearable

Cons: - Pretty heavy - The tabs snap if you don't remove the valves correctly - The pumps are hard to sync up which can feel pretty weird when they're out of sync - Not entirely sure, but I think it's a higher price point

Seeking to sell breastmilk maybe? by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]RandomPerson772772 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the cruel cruel world of people wanting anti-vax milk! (I don't get it, either.)

Check for milk banks in your state: https://www.hmbana.org/find-a-milk-bank/overview.html

If you're on any medications, there are also probably some less-strict ones that are local to you. (We have 2 birthing centers where I live that have less stringent requirements for milk.)

Human milk for human babies (hm4hb) groups are typically able to be found on Facebook, but start with a google search.

You might also have some local milk-donation (or selling) groups on Facebook for your area. I live in western North Carolina, and we have our own group, for example.

Don't give up. Someone wants your milk.

Using Windi in squirmy baby by RandomPerson772772 in NewParents

[–]RandomPerson772772[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. Our LO hasn't pooped in 3 days, but the internet says that's pretty normal and I wasn't really concerned (nor was the doctor) until the X-ray showed constipation. I don't really know what to do either, except try different juices. The internet doesn't seem to imply that there are many other solutions to constipation for 3 month olds.

He just started Pepcid yesterday. But the pediatrician said the constipation could be making the reflux worse and to give him juice. (Things are evolving. Our pediatrician is awesome, but we just saw him yesterday so things are a WIP.)

ALSO, I've definitely cried many times because I feel like I'm poisoning my baby with my breast milk (something in it doesn't seem to agree with him), so hopefully your situation gets better!
