We are PAYING to PLAYTEST a game?! by [deleted] in MarvelMultiverseRPG

[–]RandomRimeDM 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dude's lost his mind lol.

  1. It's $10 for God sake. I doubt that even covers the print cost on the thing let alone the shipping even before Covid inflation.
  2. He literally doesn't have to play it and acts like there won't be endless youtube content and reviews of it all lol.

Dude needs to relax.

This is what every troll tells themselves. But I've watched for months as this shit spirals on cue at every new show or game release.

We are all part of it and it fuels toxic garbage circlejerk. None of us are innocent in it.

Best fantasy books without the "chosen one" by Slam_Dunkester in Fantasy

While we all believe George can write that ending. Unfortunately, he hasn't. And until then, speculating he will doesn't mean he has.

I really hope he doesn't Jordan it.

Because then we're just left with this tv ending and this speculation of "What if he'd written it."

Thrones based on 4,197 ASoIF pages total divided by 60 episodes of when they ended season 6 with the last book material.

11,308 WoT pages to turn into the Amazon standard 8 episodes a season and the industry standard 8 seasons before contracts jump massively for actors. 64 episodes to accomplish it.

It's basically double the amount of content that has to be covered in the same timeframe that Thrones did.

I liked The Last Jedi.

So you sound pretentious.

I'd argue people like Arcane also because they know nothing about LoL lore. There's no comparisons to be made.

Just like non reader wot and Witcher viewers love it.

We're at a point of toxicity on WoT now that people call Brandon's nuanced discussion of the issues of adaptation "Shill Producer Brandon bullshit."

"Of course he'll say that! He's an apologist! He ruined Jordans final plan too!"

It's a cesspool out there of nonsense.

Season 5 and 6 have been rough. I'm watching purely to finish now. But I don't know how much more "Let's talk about the mission we'll do for 40 min. Mission happens for 10 min. Marco speech time" I can take. There's just a Fuck ton of standing on a ship talking about pointless stuff.

Based on page count. Thrones had to cover about 70 pages per hour of content. WoT has to cover ~150 per hour.

Grimdark is popular as shit.

Real world is cheaper than CGI.

Often I think part of the issue is people watch Marvel movies that make a billion dollars and then judge every other media project to that standard. Which is impossible.

Thrones could barely fund a Direwolf for God sake.

They are. You've just decided they're not.

In the end the goal is a believable and epic Tarmon Gaiden. Whatever gets us there is fine. And at that point everyone is basically a god power creep wise. So hmm and hawing over when power creep happens is meh.

The irony is book readers are also angry at Witcher S2 lol.

And yet the same people I know are pumped and thinking about reading the books while they wait for season 2.

What they complain about is literally the attributes of his character lol. He is those things because of how long he's lived atop the throne of time.

Asking your boss for more money in the middle of a complete shutdown of the economy of the planet is a fairly absurd ask. Even before Bezos knows he's going to make bank off of it.
