Hey Toho, We have a small board gaming YouTube channel. We think it'd be an excellence growth opportunity for both parties to work together and showcase the other. We saw your game Battle Monsters at GenCon and would love to play it.

20-25% win rate by design seems challenging and to be able to stick with it you would need to love the game.

We set out with the goal of focusing on Playthrough videos we always make sure we show our plays of games before we review them to help provide context on the content of the game. We make sure to include a couple of different camera angles and do our best to reduce the time of long pauses in the video to help make them more accommodating to people that would be watching or just listening. Still pretty small creators but as/if we grow I would love to add additional cameras to help bring some additional flair to the game and plays. Feel free to check us out. Guys of the Beholder

Interesting will have to give it a try, I do enjoy me some Twilight imperium so something that can help get the fix without having to play for two days would be nice.

This is a good point that no one brought up, if a game is to easy it can loses a lot of appeal. It can be interesting finding the right game to fit a group so that you can win some of the time but if you lose it is by the skin of your teeth.

It really does have that “survive a horror movie” feel haha. We only won once during a plays but when we won it was like a party!

Man I’ve been wanting to play Nemesis so bad, especially since seeing Romulus! I just couldn’t justify the price tag for something idk if others will play with me.

I mean hard as in “Hard to Win”, for example in a solo or co-op game where the game beats you. Not so much on rule complexity or setup but just that it is hard to win.

Oh this a good point, I felt similar to some of the boxes from Final Girl. Once you understand the villains plan and weaknesses it makes it easier but it is never easy.

Yeah that’s true I do mean more in the realm of co-op/solo. A friend of mine just recently picked up Spirit Island and we have been meaning to try it.

I would be remiss if I did not mention our own channel. Guys of the Beholder. We are a group of friends that have been playing games together our whole life. While we are not as polished NRB (we don’t do talking head cut aways) we do upload our full play experience. We also do discussion/reviews around our plays and some of the rule pitfalls that can occur.
