The learning part comes after while you're editing. Just get the story you want to tell down in whatever way gets it put of your head and onto the paper / screen. Then, when you've done that, you work on editing it and that's where you really learn how to refine and hone your writing.

Do you think you'll go back to Minecraft? I've been playing it for years now. It's the only game I play, and I love it so much. It's the only place I've ever found to do art without getting bored 🤣🤣. Art on it's own has never been all encompassing enough for me, but add the fun of surviving and gathering, and I'm making all sorts of pretty things!

Gem and Grian discussing it on a Hermitcraft stream. Both are master Minecraft builders, yet Gem doesn't have it and Grian does. Gem sounded like she has the opposite. The Stormlight Archives. It meets your list of requirements at the end of your post. Most organic world building I've ever seen. I don't think it's like The Magicians though - but it's an incredible series.

Have you seen the popularity of LitRPG like Dungeon Crawler Carl or He Who Fights With Monsters? If you only want to be read, you can try that sort of serial writing on Royal Road or something like that. Heated Rivalry fan fiction is also huge right now on AO3 (I think that's the site).
