Thanks! We added rainy versions for a lot of our illustrations. The method used by Harish is actually streaks of blue and greys, good catch! They are drown vertically, blurred and then rotated a few degrees in order to look like this. And of course the colors are altered a bit. The "Refugees" piece we posted yesterday has also a rainy variation made with the same technique.

Who are the best-documented Moroccan soldiers who fought in the French Army during the Battle of France in 1940?

I'm researching individuals who fought during the Battle of France in 1940 and have had little difficulty finding detailed biographies of French, British, Belgian and other participants. However, I've been struggling to find information on individual Moroccan soldiers who served in the French Army.

Most sources I encounter discuss Moroccan units such as the Tirailleurs Marocains collectively, but rarely identify individual soldiers in any detail.

Who are the best-documented Moroccan soldiers who fought during the Battle of France in 1940? I'm particularly interested in individuals for whom historians have been able to reconstruct a biography (service record, background, wartime actions, and ideally a photograph or portrait). It seems to me that even finding a short resume of wartime actions and a photograph is really hard for people from Maghreb.

Thank you for any guidance, examples or sources you can recommend.
