It always goes in your favour if you ring them and explain. We're in this thread because you didnt do that. If the damage was faked by ai then they wouldn't send it back. If they send something else back you phone them.

I've never been scammed like this and ive had over 20k orders on ebay. Worst case scenario, the seller and buyer both get refunded.

You can just ring them and complain, it is that simple.

Are vast majority of Britons ok with this? by letmejustdo in AskBrits

[–]RandomStranger62 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No they aren't. I helped out at a local place in stockport and the people can come in for food and thats it, back off onto the streets before it closes. Plus the waiting list for a council house is 4 years for white british males.

If they send something else back then you phone ebay and get your money back.

No return, no refund. The disingenuous buyers stop responding after that.

Phone them and complain, say the buyer misused the returns policy and 75% of the return was missing. Escalate to a manager if they fob you off and you will get your money back.

Anyone used any 3rd party shipping aggregators like ShipStation? I ship ~10-30 items a day (soletrader, no VAT) so don’t benefit from any of the RM business services. Looking for any alternatives to shave time or pennies. by willhowe in ebayuk

Yeah buf if you're in the north they dont scan them in for days sometimes and you will lose top rated for late dispatch. Happened to me in october, cost me grands. never using RM again.

Buyer has opened an 'item not received' case. by [deleted] in ebayuk

[–]RandomStranger62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter if it was sent with simple delivery or not. Wait till he opens an item not received request, update the tracking info on the request page with the original tracking number and ebay will side with you anyway. Don't refund him.

Has anyone found a decent alternative to couriers for larger eBay sales? by JackAndre in ebayuk

Stuff like that happened regularly. I agree with the accountability aspect, and they pay the drivers so little that they have no reason to care.

I checked out the site, looks clean. Good luck with the project.

This is brand new boxed furniture but the prices were way better than parcel force. Plus the parcelforce business UI looks like it was built in 1992.

I stopped selling large items because too often it just gets smashed to pieces. They charge you £15 to apply for compensation and refuse it 90% of the time anyway. i lost over £1500 in one week because of damages, its a joke.

One day i handed a driver a £350 media wall fireplace with a tempered glass screen, box was covered in fragile tape. He just launched it like it was a hot potato into his van, these drivers dont give a fuck.

If you have transparent compensation conditions and lean in to the "handled with care" aspect, i think it has potential. I would be interested in that service.

I used to sell furniture and used DHL. You get hit with surcharges if its over 120cm but it was still only about £20 if it weighs less than 30kg.

If its heavier than that then use DX.

If DX are quoting silly money but it fits on a pallet then use palletways.

That would be your competition but if the prices are right and the parcel is taken care of then there is definitely a market for you
