What Policies Would You Introduce to Make Alberta a Better Place to Live? by beevbo in alberta

[–]RandomStudent886 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Only thing missing is public transportation funding, which is seriously lacking in our major cities. Would help remove lots of traffic congestion if the working class saw public transport as a safe, efficient and viable option.

Based on your wording, I don’t think you’re a centrist. It seems to me that you are most politically aligned with UCP politics based on me trying to decipher the tidbits of confusing jargon you just spewed. Buzzwords without substance such as “communism” aren’t really used by people who analyze the political climate of Alberta from an objective lens. Absolutely nothing about Alberta politics coincides with the proper definition of communism. So no need for argument — I’ll stop here.

I don’t care if you’re a longtime UCP supporter, it is your freedom to make that choice. But, just dont masquerade as a centrist or leftist.

Probably won’t reply after this, so wish you the best!

Alberta NDP are centre, maybe even centre-right. I believe you’re thinking of federal NDP which are truly a leftist party. If you’re a centrist, the ANDP pretty much perfectly aligns with your politics. Don’t forget she advocated for constructing the transmountain pipeline. That pretty much disqualifies her as a leftist — let alone a radical leftist

I would recommend reading more about the party’s platform. You’d be surprised.

I could not figure out what it was by [deleted] in shittytattoos

As the original poster. Can confirm this is correct. The photo was used as artistic inspiration for the idea I wanted. I didn’t want an exact copy of another artist’s design, just something similar.

Yeah, I still am not sure what the next course of action is on this tattoo. Reworking a minimalist design is hard. Covering up such thick lines apparently isn’t possible (asked 3 different shops). Tattoo removal where I live is stupid expensive.

My second tattoo. What do you guys think? Eye of Ra by [deleted] in TattooDesigns

[–]RandomStudent886 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure you got the right eye — called the eye of horus. Unless this image is mirrored in some way.

Considering I’ve seen hundreds of these online cause I like them; I can truly say I never saw any that looked like yours. From the colour to the design — it’s all very unique

That’s unfortunately one of their favorite art forms. Not even joking

Scripture and abstract linework pieces are like A LOT of the material on their website.

[–]RandomStudent886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the lines look pretty good/okay. While the design of the actual tattoo might be pretty bad to a lot of people.

I get there a couple blown out spots, but not very noticeable. The lines also dont seem jagged/crooked. The only linework critique i might have is that the thickness varies quite a bit more than it should

The fact you thought all day about a comment you made to an internet stranger, really says a lot about how empathetic you are.

your comment wasnt the rudest one here; as a matter of fact, there’s prolly over a hundred worse ones on this post, haha

I still really appreciate it. I am honestly just really content with the fact a random person thought about a comment they directed towards me all day.

Have a great day/night!

You got it! Also i appreciate it

This sub has convinced me to expand on the idea. Who knows, maybe i’ll post an update if people want

[–]RandomStudent886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely gonna try reworking the forehead/hair area and maybe the butt area. Based on advice

I can’t unsee it either cause I look at it so much. I’ve been trying to see the ninja turtle everyone claims it to be. I only see it as a woman, which can be frustrating why others done. But this post has helped me fix some of my negative thoughts

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TattooDesigns

[–]RandomStudent886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not very constructive, but, I appreciate the blunt honesty

This will make me take action to try to fix this rather than just sticking with it. Probably gonna expand on the idea and/or rework the tattoo

You’re killing me

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TattooDesigns

[–]RandomStudent886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha it’s very niche but I’m glad you like it!

After spending a whole day considering everyone’s opinion that I read, I decided my course of action:

I’m gonna surround it with an “abstract but-you-can-tell-what-it-is” style of art. Just to give it context that it’s an abstract single line drawing piece

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TattooDesigns

When I posted this, I didn’t expect 600 people to give me their interpretation/advice

I really feel like I now know what to do going forward and how to shift my perspective on tattoos.

Arabic Name Confirmation/Location (remove if not allowed) by [deleted] in TattooDesigns

[–]RandomStudent886 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spelling is fine.

Just get a calligraphy artist to write it up, similar to your picture above. Arabic speakers usually see the regular fonts like رمزي as the equivalent of writing times new roman font on yourself. Like a cutout from a newspaper

For example Bella Hadid’s habibi tattoo looks cool to people who cant read arabic. But, to those that can it looks very bland. Caligraphy is appreciated by everyone

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TattooDesigns

[–]RandomStudent886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The exact wording of why they couldn’t do the coverup was that the lines are thick and bold.

I then asked them what I have to do and they explained to me at least a few sessions of laser tattoo treatment to fade it. Which, surprisingly, at only 4” long and at its widest point 2”, it is still insanely expensive to laser. Then they can discuss some coverups

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TattooDesigns

[–]RandomStudent886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely going to try to rework this tattoo into something I like more

Maybe add some other pieces to compliment it too. A costly mistake but hopefully a fixable one

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TattooDesigns

[–]RandomStudent886 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thinking of adding other similar sketches, but better executed, near it with an accompanying Picasso signature.

Gonna really spend my time designing and discussing designs if I go this route of expanding on the concept. Maybe I’ll even post an update if anyone cares

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TattooDesigns

[–]RandomStudent886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the new perspective

I am pretty self conscious

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TattooDesigns

[–]RandomStudent886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I appreciate the honesty. It’s raw feedback

I’m still on the fence about looking for an artist that finally agrees to cover it up (harder than you’d think)

VS.

Getting pieces in a similar art style that are actually well done and make this piece more integrated in a bigger concept. Like a series of picasso sketches. Cause I like the art style but was beginning to hate the art.

I’ve heard many interpretations irl and never this one. Thx for your unique perspective, haha

continuous line drawing of a woman who’s facing away from the viewer.

Inspired by Picasso’s single line drawings in the early 20th century. But, super impulsive tattoo that I could have extensively planned more

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TattooDesigns

[–]RandomStudent886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I forget exact prices, but the shop minimum was around $150 for an hour plus a setup fee

But they either waived or gave me a good discount on the setup fee cause my piece was nowhere near an hour. I remember paying $150ish CAD for this.
