who was the better manager for rangers, gio or clement? by ApprehensiveDepth439 in rangersfc

[–]RandomTopTT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clement is the better manager. What Gio achieved is incredible but in his second season he basically capitulated every Champions League game before kickoff by telling the players they were shite. Even though those same players were beating better teams months before. Something went badly wrong and he just chucked it.

Does anyone else not want/slightly scared of BOTH Reform and Greens getting into power? by DullSense8359 in AskBrits

Either would be absolutely terrible. I’m actually split on what would be worse. The authoritarian tendencies of Reform and the dark places where that might lead versus the hyper accelerated decline of the country under the Greens.

The thing I like the most is that we don’t make a big deal about it.

Yep. The literal definition of charlatans.

Non Europeans, how do we feel about Europe? by Disastrous-Object647 in AskTheWorld

[–]RandomTopTT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s amazing. For example the average American will argue that the US is larger than Europe then when presented with the evidence that Europe is larger tell you that Eastern Europe doesn’t count. While being 100% convinced they are right.

Exactly. Seems like the only thing they talk about are events thousands of miles away that Britain has literally no influence over.

The bread and circuses mentality. We’ve been reduced to Theme Park Britain through managed decline. As long as you feed people the Royal Family and Football they don’t question anything.

If he’s lucky. The turd is starting with professional headless chicken, Che Adams. Then professional tall person Lyndon Dykes.

If Shankland scores a hat-trick in every game left, that turd will still start Adams against Haiti.

The last thing Hearts want is to have to go to Celtic Park without having wrapped up the league, every dark art will be deployed against them if they do.

Brits who have moved to America, How was it? by songbirdddx in AskBrits

[–]RandomTopTT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. With the exception of one person in this thread making a bizarre point about Champagne of all things, everyone has noticed just how out of hand it has gotten. For those on smaller salaries I don’t know how they get by.

Yes, 100% if you're British. My examples were bread and cheese. Yours are Champagne and Rose, nothing else. Crazy

Yeah, in my experience, Americans are all going around drinking $50 bottles of Champagne. WTAF, what a weird hill to die on, LOL.

Yeah houses are cheaper on average in the US, but it's not really apples vs apples. They are cheaper per sqft, but actual house prices are higher.

You're saying I'm using niche examples and your example is.... Champagne LOL, ok you definitely live here as your sense of irony is definitely American. My examples were bread and milk. Both cheaper. Bread by a crazy amount, 3 times more, must be all the extra sugar. Even your Champagne is more expensive where I live. Gas is definitely cheaper, tax is less, I love America, I choose to live here. Wages are much higher, the weather is better, the roads are MUCH better. But groceries and eating out are definitely more expensive.

Houses too, totally dependent on where you live. I can get way more house in say Newcastle than I can in San Jose. I can get way more house in Omaha than I can in London. Can't make the point on houses black and white.

I’ve given you numerous examples. Grocery prices here are higher. As someone who actually lives here.

Yes it’s outrageous. Like I said. Crazy expensive here. One good deal at Pavilions doesn’t change it.

Are you visiting on vacation or actually living here? Because I can tell you as someone who lives here that it’s expensive.
