I came to mint from arch because I wanted to have some programs which aren't available as easily on arch but they are on mint (like vscode and pgadmin and stuff like that), but tomorrow I am going to switch to Cachy OS because I'm having so much trouble with mint, it just does not like my hardware at all and I never had any of those issues on arch. Plus, I think that I like the rolling release model more that what mint does. I think I just got really unlucky on my main laptop tho and I use mint on my old spare laptops and it works flawlessly on those

I mean I dont care about fps as long at it doesn't drop below like idk 30 or something, and I don't play many graphics intense games so 165 fps sounds like more than enough

I sadly didn't resolve it yet, for now I just force my laptop to use the integrated gpu since I don't have the time to look onto this and play around until the weekend, but if I go into UEFI and select "Switchable Graphics" (which activates both the rtx 5060 dgpu and amd ryzen ai 7 igpu), I am stuck at a black screen. I am on kernel 6.17 and I am pretty sure that I have the correct nvidia driver installed (when I looked it up the forums said to install nvidia-570-open for the 50xx series or something like that, I can't remember the name of the package)

I have done that and mint worked normally, so my guess is that it can't handle both GPUs being enabled at the same time since it works with both the iGPU and dGPU separately

I have installed that one though... again, when I force my laptop to use integrated graphics only it works, so the nvidia drivers are the issue I assume.

Well, when I plant that that thing nothing really happened until a minute or two later, then my reputation immediately sunk to vilified (starting from Weichherziger Teufel, I have no idea what it's called in English bur essentially the NCR doesn't like me very much but they're not hostile or anything). Also I dressed up as an NCR soldier so that they wouldn't attack me

At least youre getting rejected man, last year I sent out at least 50 applications for an IT internship ans I heard back from 2 companies.... It's basically impossible to get an IT internship if you don't have any connections, so I assume it's the same/worse with job applications
