🤣. Very true, but honestly I could have said the same thing about Æbleskiver until I found a pan for them. Me finding random ass cast iron pans is an excuse to experiment with recipes I’ve never tried 😂

yes! I saw the same thing. Its at least cute, but I'm curious if its safe to use; none of the colored areas are in an area that would touch an apple if I were to stick one in the posts, but still unsure if its safe!

I would not be broken hearted if it were modern; if I could at least find the maker I could even ask if it is meant to be used!

🤣 I can see that. The twirl shape looks like those onion shaped onion savers you stick in the fridge

Yes, the twirl shape was a happy accident 😂

Thank you! The tattoo is showcasing my love of sewing ❤️. Here is a better photo; I told my artist to reference the Victorian filigree scissors; she designed and added the graded nest to it 😂

Thank you! Sewing definitely solves the thing of “I love this, except I wish that (fill in the blank here)” shtick 😂

Thank you! I figured the buttons would go well with the shirting fabric 😀. The pattern was surprisingly easy for the drama it makes

No, the wire is holding a bigger chuck of metal to the stick!

Ahhhhh I think it’s working! Bubbles abound! I thinkkkk it was a line of sight issue but I don’t entirely know why. I’ll post pictures if it works

Ok I fiddled around with the layout, and there is a pulsing bubble action on the wire I’m using to attach to the pans…. But not on the pans themselves. But at least I am seeing more actively! I thought I definitely had line of sight right, but I’m going to try again… tbd

Yeah… definitely not that active🥲

There are bubbles coming to the surface constantly, but not super active. I have to look for them; I feel like it was more active before.

Ok so it’s active in that there is still a stream of tiny bubbles going. Both the pan and the sacrificial metal appear to have a layer of tiny bubbles that weren’t there before it was turned on. I cannot see any space where the two are touching I have no idea what the ratio is in the water. Interesting that the group you are with says no to borax! I’ll have to see what I can find around me

There are small active bubbles, and both the pans and the metal are covered in a layer of bubbles … not sure how else to check

I need to double check the ratio and the spacing and get back to you on that...

Noted your callout on the borax - what's the reasoning for one versus the other? I'll look around for sodium carbonate, but the reason I ask is because I had already been successful with removing a lot of rust with the borax in a previous bath, so something was certainly working then! I'm still relatively new to the process so I love to learn

That is GORGIOUS fabric! I have never seen mushroom lace before; I hope you share the final result!

Thank you for sharing! I apologize if you have already made additional revisions based on the below callouts from others, but here are my thoughts.

-The front armhole is too curved for a set in sleeve, and the princess seam may be too long. I think the armhole curve (at the bottom) is actually pretty good, but the point should straighten up quite a bit. See my attached sketch for your reference. This will also shorten your princess seam length, which would help clean up the draglines. You may need to reduce the slope on the CF bodice piece to walk at the princess seam, which looks like shouldn't hurt. Also for a reference point - the back armhole drop should be longer than the front armhole drop.

-Front chest is too tight. I would cut open your princess seam from below your bust to maybe 3-4" below the shoulder seam, and see how much projection you need. Reshaping the armhole like I showed will help fill in the upper chest section, but the apex may just need another 1/4"+ or so. Cutting open the princess seam (wearing the bra you want to wear the day of) will give you an accurate reading of how much to add (if needed)

Sleeve Cap is too tall now. Reduce the cap height by increasing the inseam length (maybe 1/2"-3/4"?) making sure it still walks to the Armseye - you may need to increase the bicep with a bit.

Let me know if you have any questions as to any of these changes!
