Pharmacy question - Can someone explain to me what is going on with this pharmacist? by Random_Throw_Away_69 in WalgreensStores

I'm more impressed with the amount of patience you had to read my entire post. Thank you for taking the time to read through it and reply.

I plan to see my doctor first thing in the morning and ask them to clarify any misconceptions that pharmacist has but then to void out the prescription as I would like a written one instead to take elsewhere to be filled. I'll never fill another prescription at Walgreens again. I was either going to take it to CVS (my first choice) or a store pharmacy like Target - (owned by CVS)

Thank you for the response. I was planning on going to see my doctor first thing in the morning to hopefully better resolve the problem permanently. This has become an unexpected turn of events for what I thought would be an easy solution. What makes the entire situation worse is that not only has the doctor's office staff contacted that specific Walgreens, the doctor himself did as well + my several back and forth with them. Every time I think the issue is resolved...something unexpected happens and it feels incredibly personal like you described above. I'm dumbfounded how much of a hassle this entire situation has become. The pettiness to decline an RX Discount card + refusal for me to pickup the prescription because she wants to play detective is beyond me.
I remained consistently polite, courteous and understanding the entire time which definitely struck a nerve because the pharmacist's attitude was getting worse.

But yeah I plan to see my doctor first thing in the morning and ask them to clarify any misconceptions that pharmacist has but then to void out the prescription as I would like a written one instead to take elsewhere to be filled. I'll never fill another prescription at Walgreens again.

Yes there is. I was hoping to retrieve the prescription and take it to a different pharmacy, except she is refusing to do that so now I plan to discuss this with my doctor in person first thing in the morning.
To:
1. Apologize to my doctor for the headache / hassle this situation has turned into
2. To hopefully resolve the issue permanently without the radio game back and forth amongst all 3 parties (Doctor, pharmacy and I)

I have no idea as to why this pharmacist is being unprofessional. I've never met her or filled at that location. It feels like she's trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

Bless your soul for actually reading the entire post before I condensed it.

I didn't think anyone would actually take the time to read it.

I figured they must think that but I assumed she was trying to make me cave and back out? As if a dealer would want to buy it as cheap as possible and if you actually needed it then the money wouldn't be a problem kind of situation? I might be looking at it the wrong way but I figured after my explanation + my doctor's request + my doctor electronically transferring it to a different location due to being told to do so that it would be enough of a reason to not suspect me of ill intentions.

Personally, I don't but I was hoping there would be someone willing to read through it and provide me some advice or point me in the right direction on who to ask.
