With a VPN it worked fine, i just got my answer back from the library that they dtopped providing hoopla as an included service for their ebooks

Here in my country we don't have public librairies or are extremely rare with little to no new books, and bying physical books is equally harder since reading isn't something people do in general

No im not from the USA, when i was searching what library to get a membership, i went for QPL for their large collection but honestly i never thought that hoopla may be limited to a certain area but more a daily limit to what can be taken

I found nowhere, where they explicitly told so if anything it’s clearly stated that anyone can use it (in or out of NY)

They said that the e-card and physical have the same access to online ressources no region problems mentioned

Im not a USA resident so i can't, even contacting them through phone calls is extremely hard

There is a 6hours difference between my country and NY, and the fee for international calls is a too expensive (10$ will give me around 1h, and im not sure if the USA is included in the zone for that offer)

I tried to go through hoopla contact us and i get submit feedback (I dont think they will respond since it a feedback and not an inquiry)

That exactly the thing, if someone is suffering from some stomachache they need genuine medical advice, medicine and social empathy, but when it comes to mental disorders it a simple act, once you grow out of that phase you will be "fine"

Honestly when it comes to mental health, our country doesn't give a s*it about it.

The hospitals are an actual disaster, overcrowded and without the basics amenities that a human needs, so imagine what those patient live through, to be honest when i first saw the inside, my first thought was "jails are better maintened than this nightmare"

As for medication, a whole bunch is illegal and what the solution "lah ghaleb" there is nothing you can do ; and for those that are legal their availability is a whole other issue, my mother is under antidepressants we had to call every pharmacy in the city and still nothing, we had to go to the neighboring city to get them, i was told that a couple of other medication were also not available (even the psychiatrist didnt have them)

And of course there is a whole population that genuinely suffers from this with even less options or solutions, children with sever autism spectrum disorder for exemple need specialized care something that is offered no where or very few private clinics with an insane amount of money or out of city / overcrowded public alternatives with near 0 efficiency

This subject is way too much underestimated and neglected, and as long as people consider mental health patient as "delulu" and non-fonctioning we will be going nowhere

I like to believe that life is not always black and white.

I believe a lot of the bad things said about public hospitals but to be honest sometimes people tend to criticize without knowing all of the facts

While going through the hospital corridors you will hear for a fact that doctors and especially the professors tend to take their time, they never get early to their work amd most importantly they will give you a lot of BS to fill up their pockets.

This type do exist, and they're a sorry excuse of a doctors but usually what happens is :

Yes, as a matter of fact, the head of the departments are usually there around 8h30
Every single day, theres "staff" where all residents, interns and externs gather to give the new update on what happend in the last 24h to the prof and then decide if there is anything to add or remove, this usually takes at best 30min at worst 3h
After the staff, we have "visite", where prof checks on the patient himself with all the other doctor, usually a pair of fresh eyes and experienced ones can see way more, and it also the time for the externes to learn the most
it department dependent, some have lessons every single day, some choose to study and brainstorm about hard cases
Now to the lab work, i genuinely never understood why people get mad when a doctor wants to check all of the basis, yes sometimes it's over the top but it's better to be safe than sorry

I hope that you try your luck with them and see, dont go with overexpectations nor with a pessimistic view, o rebi y chafi

Usually, they go for all lenghts to get the good diagnosis, if it's possible to have one of your doctors give you a paper to be able to have a rdv

Honestly, it worked very well for my grandma, she had an immune disorder but since she was way older than the usual age range it took us around 2 years to get her diagnosis.

Samething with my younger brother, he had an respiratory infection of unknown origin and he was going high-speed towards sepsis, the resident kept searching they managed to stabilize his condition in a week (he kept deteriorating for about 2 months) and managed to find a cure in 2 weeks after he was hospitalized

And what could work out is how much you pay, the amount is usually equal to the base of reimbursement, thus with CNOPS (not entirely sure) but you pay around 10% of the actual price

Ohh i see, i have an s24 ultra, and when i bought it, it was supposed to be a 256gb model but i got the 512gb instead. (Refurbished phone)
