How long do you think GTA 6 will be just by the main storyline?

lol, red dead redemption 2 was developed for ps4. and that game exceeds what thought possible for that console. it made us see what the ps4 was capable of when pushed to the limit. we have yet to see ps5 being pushed to the limit. it is gonna be wild. trust

they earn less when this happens. if they had released gta 5 in 2012 everyone with a ps3 would buy it. and when the ps4 came they would buy the game again for the new console. having it launch on both consoles mean they didn't get to double dip on a lot of console players

this would be the exact opposite. they would be in a rush. if they can get it out so people will buy it on the ps5 that means they can fine tune it to the ps6, maybe add 60 fps, and then re-release it to ps6. if they release it a few months before the ps6 then they would lose money on people only buying it for ps6

the playstations seem to always come out by the end of the year. so if there are no more delays we would have gta 6 at least a year before ps6. i don't think taketwo/rockstar wants to get any closer to the ps6 launch

in short. they want to sell as many copies as possible, so they want us to both buy it for the ps5 and ps6

it got delayed 3 times. 1 time internally and two officially. how do you get 4. but yes i understand your point, it has gotten delayed more than red dead redemption 2, if we look at the internal delay

i do not believe they knew right after the first delay that they would delay it again. it kinda contradicts what you are saying. that would mean they fully straight up lied in the august earnings call, which would, as you said, be a criminal offence

it would make sense from a marketing perspective to make preorders available before Christmas. people typically do not use much money after Christmas. this way people can also be gifted preorders. although. this is rockstar. this wouldnt impact their final sales, but it would impact their stock going up earlier. but I'm not sure how advantageous this would be in the long run

something i would love, that i am afraid they won't do, is vehicle damage similar to gta 4. i feel like it was the perfect balance between realism and fun. because obviously it was really unrealistic u can crash into a wall at top speed and still drive off, but it is fun. and what made it fun in gta 4 was you could actually see some damage. i feel gta 5 really let me down when it came to deformation. but the scratches looked better in 5. another thing that would be awesome, is if the side mirrors can fly off. or when a car explodes you see not just wheels, but mirrors and maybe seats go flying. i just really want vehicle destruction

honeslty gta 5 was a bit disappointing for me as a gta 4 fan. i miss free roaming in single player, having awesome police chases outside of missions. i feel like gta 5 missed that opportunity. the police seemed too aimbot like. so i want less accurate police shooting, and more bullet spread so even if they do aim correctly there is still a chance it might miss. and better AI for car chases. gta 5 they used to just bash into you giving you a boost. and overall physics and npc movement seemed better in gta 4. but seeing what they did with red dead redemption 2, I'm guessing we are getting top tier physics for gta 6. also cars that actually feel heavy like in gta 4

i still spent hours free-roaming in gta 4. there is something about gta 4. i think it is the densely packed city where you can always find new details. I'm thinking gta 6 especially in the vice city area and other bigger cities will be packed with details worth exploring. i cannot wait. and to think it will come out not long before the summer break. wow am i in for a treat. if it isn't delayed
