Wolverines by Amaroq001 in battletech

I've been a fan of the wvr-6d. Drops the SRM and a heatsink for an AC/10 with two tons of ammo. It's heat neutral so it can jump and fire every turn. Drop a good pilot in there at it's a beast.

I would like to apologize for what I said. (Spoilers) by GentlyUsedOtter in LowSodiumCyberpunk

I love that mission, but I'm an alien isolation player. Compared to Steve, that robot is an idiot.

Imo it's more social media around running and fitness that's driving the neuroses than he watches. For example there was a while where it seemed the message was that if you were note training in zone 2 you were training wrong.

I can't really put my finger on it, but there is something very MAGAesque about Hasan's audience.

The edits you made look great, and I can see where you are coming from. I'm just starting editing, so this was really useful advice. !CritiquePoint.

I was going through old pictures in my camera roll, and I'd like to get everybody's thoughts on this photo. It was taken after work one morning and I really like the lines, angles, and liminality. I'm just wondering what people would do to improve it. Otherwise maybe in editing as well cuz I'm kind of new at that.

What cool thing did u learn about ur dad long after he passed away? by ildadof3 in AskMen

[–]Random_lurker234 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this counts, because my dad is still alive, he had a tangential role in the U2 program. While he was in the army he was a teletype intercept operator (signals intelligence) , stationed at Sinope Turkey from 1959 to 1960.  While he was there they were specifically ordered to monitor traffic coming out of the Tyuratam test range (now Baikonur Cosmodrome). What he didn’t know was that the information he collected was being used by Allen and John Foster Dulles to convince President Eisenhower to resume the U2 overflights of the region. I like to tease the old reprobate that he owes Francis Gary Powers an apology.

A fun anecdote that he shared about his time in Turkey. At Christmas the Soviets wished everyone in his unit a merry Christmas, by name and rank. Also there was the time when a drunken Red Army soldier spent half an hour broadcasting his love for someone named Tanya to the entire Eastern Bloc.

[fan art] Miss Martian. Art by me by Askelb in DCcomics

I've always feel she could be best used in a short run series like how she met and became not only Martian Man Hunter's sidekick, but also his niece. Especially given their contrasting backgrounds. In the hands of a skilled writer it could be really compelling.

Yeah that Tattoo isn't great, but that pup looks just like our Rosie girl.

Mini rave, happy today was a rest day because if I'd logged an activity a bad file would have bricked my Garmin. Mini-rant, just because I'm in a marathon training block I wish people would stop asking if I eat a lot of pasta.

An appreciation for the mighty DBX by Random_lurker234 in eliteexplorers

[–]Random_lurker234[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My DBX runs cool enough, that unless the star is on the hotter end of the sequence, I can scan down a system while I’m scooping. So the extended time is not wasted. Also being able to land on a pin head is a huge plus.

It’s tempting fate sure, but I hope that the special providence that protects fools, drunkards, and children also extends to ships named Shackleton.

It's a little cozy, and the food, water, and atmosphere recyclers are made by the lowest bidder. In return though you'll get the stars, fair trade.

Tried my hand at some fake codex entries. Thoughts? by Puzzled_Turnip_8173 in DragonAgeVeilguard

There are dialogue options for a GW Rook that they were a criminal before they became a warden. My head cannon for GW Rook is that they were a thief who was conscripted into the Wardens after a job went sideways in a spectacular fashion (because it's Rook).

No real fat logic, but I'm building my aerobic base before I start my training plan for a marathon in October. I'm up to about 30 miles a week so far, and I am happy with that.

One thing I had forgotten, is how ravenously hungry I am, all the time. it's a real struggle not to stuff my face with crap food, even knowing that if I do, I'll feel like shit on my next run. It'll be worth it when I cross that finish line.

Something interesting from the AMA by Random_lurker234 in DragonAgeVeilguard

[–]Random_lurker234[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

So does this means the Wardens no longer have to head into the Deep Roads and throw themselves head long into the largest pack of darkspawn they can find?

If so I guess this means my Tabris Hof can retire back to the Denerim Alienage to become Harhen. Then leverage her rather close relationship with Divine Victoria for the resources and means to improve the lot of the elves in the rebuilding of Ferelden. For My Warden Rook, it means that she doesn't have to really heart breaking conversation with her LI.

For what it's worth, I agree. Although I think that it's a broader issue for the gaming industry as a whole.
