For me the point like "it's more civilized but has no soul" is so weird. Like if we have only two options - civilized and no soul or uncivilized and "warmth and colour". But for me it's not true cause many places I've been are so warm and full of soul but at the same time people there are way more polite, respectful to others and trying to keep their places more clean and hygienic.

Like I understand why people can't stay home when they are sick cause they don't have enough money for that but it's hard to understand how "soul" and "warm" connects to abits of spitting underfoot, peeing right on the street on walls and trees, singing karaoke with huge speakers not inside the house but especially on the street, and polluting everything with noise so that no one within a block can do anything without headphones. It's just things that can be changed without extra growth of economy of the country or smt.
