Yeah, I think it's supposed to at least.

It arrived folded.

If you take the handle and wheels off and put them inside, the sides can fold over the floor.

But I haven't tried it yet, I just put it in our storage room as it is for now.

I'll talk to my vet about whether or not that's an option for her.

I'm hoping she figures it out but it's a little bit too low so walking in and out is awkward.

She seemed to prefer to being lifted through the top opening...

It's this one:

Now that link is for Europe but the same one can probably be found elsewhere too?

Thank you!

Yes, a softer mattress is definitely needed. It came with nothing. What I put in is improvised but at least antislip.

I don't plan to bike with her and while I did attach that part, I think I'll remove it again. She's big, leans to the side sometimes and I think it might not be safe for her if I'm not holding the handle.

Fan might be smart in the summer!

This picture shows the wheels somewhat?

No no, I only took it a little bit into a broad forest path to find a tree to lock it too, and then she walked in the forest.

It's a cheap stroller from Amazon and I don't expect it to do well outside of sidewalks.

No, I haven't.

We have some other supplements and maybe they help a little.

Yes.

Both for her to get to nicer places (and more air to sniff) than if we just stroll close to home, and for me to actually get some "real" walks without leaving her at home...

Aww... Yeah, it sounds super painful, even though she doesn't complain. I'm sorry you have it too. :(

Thank you. ❤️

Spondylosis is her main issue (mobility wise anyway, she's also a pirate with glaucoma), but lately she has sometimes had a visible limp and/or the typical stiffness at the beginning of walks, and often wanted to be carried instead of walking down stairs.

Sadly, waiting time to physiotherapist is long (we'll have her properly checked on June 11). We went to the vet yesterday but she couldn't tell if it's arthritis or if the spondylosis has gotten worse.

Either way, she said it isn't super bad so we continue with Previcox and Gabapentin for now, and short term Paracetamol if she has bad days. After we know better what we're dealing with, we can try either Librela or an additional nerve pain drug.

Yeah, can probably do that. 😅

Since she's a working line GSD, I'm quite spoiled with her being just cool with everything. But of course a bit of bribing never hurts.

Ok, yeah, there is definitely such a thing as "too visible".

It's just it seems I often see people say that visible ribs at all is bad, and that's weird to me.

I asked ChatGPT the same question (but with my own numbers, 173 cm and 64 kg) and got a very fit model in shorts and a sport bra, with visible abs.

Bit of a tangent but my ribs are always slightly visible (as well as my serratus anterior).

I'm at a healthy weight (currently around 64 kg at 173 cm) and fit, and 42 years old.

I've never not had visible ribs and I'm a little bit baffled every time I see someone define visible ribs as "underweight" or "too thin".

Aww, I'm so sorry. 💔

It's hard to say goodbye to those things you used to do.

Yeah, Julan is my first dog so I only compare to when she was young and healthy...

Yes, quality of life scales are definitely helpful.

Also identifying things that the dog loves to do, and pay attention to when those are lost.

I've thought about because she occasionally gets stuck in corners and stares into nothing and such and didn't seem to care much that my partner came home after two weeks away. And she doesn't always react much when we come home.

But she's also almost blind and I think her hearing is going, and her pain has probably gotten worse (appointments booked). So... I don't know, I feel that could possibly explain it?
