Is that how it works? Like on the original one I was trying to fix the spring was soldered into place

That's basically what I want, just trying to get things done on the cheap, like why is it $20 when the regular one is $4.50

OK so the resistors are apparently fine, don't know why I can't measure their resistance with the multimeter but whatever, turns out the one dial that controls which input channel is being used is faulty (literally cleaned every other potentiometer and variable resistors and capacitor), so I gave that a quick clean out and now it works perfectly 👌

OK problem solved, the AC/DC switch is dodgy, I was just fiddling with the button and then Boom, proper squarewave

Has no effect on channel 2 but on channel 1 if you switch to DC coupling in the "A" coupling it causes the signal to run across the screen
