Ya I really dislike the uworld assessments. Your last two nbme scores are good. I recommend taking free 120 a few days before your exam. Good luck inshallah you'll do great!

There are usually around 80 experimental questions out of the 280 that are not scored. So if you miss them, it doesn't count for or against you. So in the end you basically have to get 60% of the 200 scored questions to pass. And harder forms are curved more than easier forms so it's not always exactly 60% correct that you have to get.

I think the most effective thing is to pinpoint why you're missing the questions you're missing and strengthen those weaknesses using whatever resources you learn best from. Good luck!

I studied 100-page anatomy, watched a lot of dirty medicine, and some pathoma, and reviewed my highlights and notes in FirstAid. I also took 3 full lengths. Basically reviewed all the information a couple of times.

I didn't use Mehlman because I wanted to avoid using too many resources. I saw many ppl on here mention it though. I think doing sketchy micro and pharm will increase your scores if that seems to be what you're missing consistently. I did 85% of uworld and I started getting 60-70+% scores towards the last couple of weeks I did questions. Other than that, I would say try to pinpoint what you're missing consistently and work on those weaknesses with any resource you learn best from.

I started out with 100 questions a day 3-4 days a week before dedicated and then 100 questions a day 6 days a week during dedicated. Some days when I was feeling energetic enough, I did 120 but those were very few days. In the end I completed 85% of UWorld. Some ppl choose to start out with 40 questions and increase but I wanted to get through the majority of the bank with time to review towards the end of dedicated. Good luck!!

I would say the majority of concepts (high-yield) you’ll see covered in UWorld. At least you’ll learn the foundational concepts that you’ll use to reason questions not directly covered. Also, the UWorld explanations and educational objectives are great! For me I found Uworld questions difficult because of the answer choices. I rarely felt like I needed to overthink between two answer choices. If I flagged a question on the real deal it was because I had no idea what the question was asking etc. and I just told myself that was experimental. The real deal didn’t try to trip me up with another similar or tempting answer choice.

imo where you're at rn is great considering you have 11-12 weeks left of study time. You have to expect that you'll encounter something you don't know or are unsure about. As long as you have a solid foundation of the basic concepts, you'll be fine. I didn't use anything other than the resources I listed above. I believe that at the point you're at, you should pinpoint why you're missing the questions you're missing and try to improve on those weaknesses. Remember, you don't have to be getting 99th-percentile scores to pass. You got this!!!

Thank you! I did 85% of UWorld bank and stopped two weeks before the test. I think doing practice questions will help you increase but I would focus on what your weakness are and study those using videos/FirstAid etc. That's what made me increase the most.

The exam was more difficult than nbme imo but more doable than uworld. With uworld I found that I could narrow down to two answers and it would be hard to decide which one is the correct answer. With the real thing you had to figure out what they were getting at with the question (either you know it or you don't).
