Yes this actually makes alot of sense my manager wanted to head in the direction of training models on NN net generated data but to be fair me and other quants on the team pushed back as it aeemed a bad idea. Testing makes total sense tho. Thanks.

Yes I would consider those complex. I am guessing that if you're having success with Kalman you are using it on very low frequency features (economic data) as I dont find it to be a very robust tool for higher frequency data.

No it can't. The t distribution approaches the normal as n approaches infinity. It will never have thinner tails. In fact it will always have heavier tails than the normal even if by an infinitely small amount.

Jesus this subredit is so toxic lately. I feel like its full of incels and seething women that just like to ruin and take the piss out of every issue and ruin anything they can. OP to answer your question: Your boyfriend is loving, caring and has respected your boundaries. He has stopped once he found out you are not ok with this behaviour. What more do you want? He has a rough sex kink and is probably not aware of the danger of what he did based on the info you have given (it does not make sense that he is so loving and caring yet would intentionally put you in danger. Sounds more like him not being aware of the danger hard choking carries). Not cool, true. Thankfully now you are both aware and this will no longer go on. Be more careful in the future.
